I Saw Dasein Posted August 2, 2013 I heard that Hemmingway had a three-legged cat. So ya.
Twig Posted August 3, 2013 Well I just had an on-site interview that went much better because they didn't ask me dumb questions; they asked me interesting, problem-solving questions. Questions I'm better at answering. I fumbled a few things, but I think I was decent enough at talking through my thoguht process that it worked out. Still mobile, but at least their games have gameplay, and also I got an in because one of my friends from my old job moved to this new place a while ago. Hurray! subbes Posted August 3, 2013 I present a picture of our three-legged cat in his cage at the vet. He's on some quality painkillers. Also feat. the hand of shammack.

subbes Posted August 3, 2013 He'll take about 3 months to be back to fighting shape, but then if the surgery got all of the tumour (vet seems hopeful) and it doesn't pop up somewhere else in his body (not too common with osteosarcomas in cattes), he'll be just like 3/4 of any normal catte. elmuerte Posted August 3, 2013 So about 6.75 lives left?
Thrik Posted August 3, 2013 I used to live near a three-legged cat, he was a wonder to behold. You'd literally miss the fact he was missing a leg if you didn't look closely, as he moved with all the grace of a fully-equipped feline. If you ever needed evidence of the flexibility of kitties:
ihavefivehat Posted August 4, 2013 That's one of the best things about animals. A dog down the street from me lost one of his legs, and after the pain/recovery period was over he got right back to his normal life of running around chasing balls, going on long walks, and what not. There's no self-pity there, they just keep doing what they love to do as best as they can. It's really inspiring in a way.
Brad Leclerc Posted August 4, 2013 Life, for me, is pretty much coming together like a plan on the A-Team. It was sketchy there for a while, but somehow it all worked out amazingly, and now I'm totally riding high. Life is, in a word, grand. Awesome job, awesome wife (even a bit of a gamer, though not as much as me, her major thing is cooking, to the point that she started a blog about it, and that gets no complaints from me!), basically just awesome all around. tegan Posted August 4, 2013 What's weird and fascinating to me is that they function better than some animals capable of autotomy (reflexive self-amputation). ie: many adult spiders can detach their legs, but their web-building suffers severely. Of course, housepets have people to help them along and such... Science fun fact: there are two species of African Spiny Mice that can autotomize their skin and regrow it; including cartilage, hair, sweat glands, etc. They're of interest to science because they're the only mammals that can autotomize and scientists think that the corresponding human genes might be capable of letting people do the same thing. melmer Posted August 5, 2013 We've been engaged for 3 years now and up until quite recently we weren't going to bother getting married, think of all the thing you could do with that money! Oooh I think I've just found my honeymoon looking for things you can do for the fraction of the price of getting married http://www.princess.com/find/itineraryDetails.do?voyageCode=7324&tourCode=&date=&noOfPax=2&resType=C&definition_name= My gf desperately want to go to Australia, but I can't help but feel that will be majorly boring, so a cruise could be a good shout. I want to stop off at Hong Kong again if we going in that direction. We went there last year, Best holiday ever! (We went to cancun a few months ago, garbage ) EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO TO HONG KONG! Anyway, if you haven't guessed we have now decided to get married in 2015, were probably going to get hitched here http://www.uniquehomestays.com/unique/details.asp?id=984 We're going to view it in a couple of months time HOG ROAST
