Tanukitsune Posted February 25, 2012 Damn, I don't know if this is related, but the Steam Coupons expire next week, should we open a thread for this or do it here?
elmuerte Posted February 25, 2012 Serious sam stuff is also seriously on sale. Those goofy serious sam mini games are actually quite ok. Serious Sam Double DD is a ok platform game. And Random Encounter is a jRPG like game. Both quite enjoyable.
Tanukitsune Posted February 25, 2012 Stay away from Serious Sam: The Greek Encounter on Desura, it's a terrible game that was made in 5 minutes with Game Maker.
Tanukitsune Posted February 26, 2012 The Hut seems to have a leap year sale, with the coupon "LEAPYEAR50" and if you combine with the two for 25 Pounds sale you can get some neat stuff cheap! I think you have to spend at least 50€ for the coupon to apply? I can't decide whether to get El Shaddai or Splatterhouse, they are both in the multibuy offer and my other choice is Rayman Origins. Gwardinen Posted February 26, 2012 I can't decide whether to get El Shaddai or Splatterhouse, they are both in the multibuy offer and my other choice is Rayman Origins. I played a little of Splatterhouse and didn't enjoy it. I didn't play enough to give you a really thorough opinion, but I'd just say that you should research it a bit first - if I had bought it on a whim I'd have been disappointed. Erkki Posted February 29, 2012 "Ass Revelations" is finally 25 € on Steam (for 30 more hours) At this point, I'm not sure I want it though. Got too many games already.
miffy495 Posted February 29, 2012 I've been playing it in what down time I've had lately. If you're an established fan, it's pretty good still. I can see why others are saying the series is wearing out its welcome, but I personally still have plenty of welcome left for it. Constantinople is a pretty rad setting, too. The only part that feels meh are the Desmond segments that you unlock by collecting "animus shards" or whatever they call those stupid things. Those are not great. Also, they are for some reason a different executable, it would seem, as when I enter and leave those levels the game dumps to my desktop and then restarts in the level I went to. Weird shit. Tanukitsune Posted March 3, 2012 Hmm, a 3'99€ PC mag comes with the original Far Cry, and it's the same copy you'd get if you bought it back in the day. That's kinda surprising, I never knew how legal these copies where, but to see a 100% legitimate copy is something new to me. Anyway, I'm seriously debating whether to get it, since it probably has DRM and I could it get it for that price on the next Steam sale.
elmuerte Posted March 27, 2012 Minerva's Scoops (a.k.a Minerva's Den), the Bioshock 2 DLC, is half off on Microsoft XBox Live Games for Windows Market Live (XBLA and PC versions): http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Minervas-Den/00000000-0000-400e-80cf-00065454085c (also, I didn't need Microsoft points stuff, I could simply use PayPal)
Kolzig Posted March 28, 2012 Damn, I wish Minerva's den was a standalone episode. I dont want Bioshock 2, but I really would like to play the Hot Scoops dlc.
Tanukitsune Posted April 7, 2012 GamersGate has it's own super indie bundle, but I don't know... it's mostly unknown so-so looking RPGs. Has anybody played any of these games?
Tanukitsune Posted April 9, 2012 GamersGate has 1C Complete Pack for less than 20€! Buy I own most of the known titles, I have no idea if it's worth it if you already own King's Bounty, Pathologic and other similar titles. Also Cave is having a sale on the iOS store! Tanukitsune Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) What the?! I just pre-ordered it GOG! They said it would only be available at GOG! I feel scammed! EDIT: This is a backstab! They had an exclusive deal with GOG! Edited April 19, 2012 by Tanukitsune
Nappi Posted April 20, 2012 The Humble Botanicula Debut Holy holy! I didn't notice that the bundle included the soundtracks as well! There is always room for more Tomáš Dvořák in my iTunes library.
brkl Posted April 25, 2012 Ben There, Dan That etc. http://store.steampowered.com/app/37400/ For cheap. Though I suppose everyone's already bought this.
Tanukitsune Posted April 25, 2012 I'm actually curious, who HASN'T bought this little gem?
toblix Posted April 25, 2012 I pirated it. Who pays for a single player game?!
elmuerte Posted April 25, 2012 It's not a single player game. It has two: Ben and Dan.
Ben X Posted April 25, 2012 Goddammit, why am I always the last to know about these things? Thanks brkl! Extra motivation (possibly) here: http://www.sizefivegames.com/2012/04/25/size-five-fund-drive/
Tanukitsune Posted May 4, 2012 Tranformers: War on Cybertron is 75% off and the Batman games are 50% off at Steam. I wonder if it's worth waiting for the GOTY edition of Arkham City or not, at this price it's probably just cheaper to buy the upcoming Harley Quinn DLC when it comes out? Also, a new Indie Royale bundle! Although it doesn't seem that interesting this time.
elmuerte Posted May 4, 2012 Also, a new Indie Royale bundle! Although it doesn't seem that interesting this time. Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space is an interesting game. It's a fun game to play for 30 minutes or something.
Tanukitsune Posted May 10, 2012 You can get The King Arthut Collection at 75% at Green Man Gamming. You can register it at Steam. East India Company Collection is 66% off at Gamersgate! I'm thinking of buying both? King Arthur seems to be Total War with magic and East India seems to be half Total War, half Civ? I've bought from Green Man Gaming before, but I don't know much, the games you don't register at Steem seem to have a trade in value, which is nice?
Squid Division Posted May 11, 2012 I seem to remember a general negative consensus around East India.
Orv Posted May 11, 2012 I seem to remember a general negative consensus around East India. Absolutely terrible.
