ThunderPeel2001 Posted March 10, 2012 This is why I find it highly annoying when some sites (YOUTUBE *cough* YOUTUBE) don't allow for hiding comments and show them right under the video, so you always catch at least one or two horrible people saying ghastly or moronic things. That's so true. Plus I always find myself being unable to not look anyway. I'm my own worst enemy.
ThunderPeel2001 Posted March 10, 2012 Pledged!I stuck to $15. It was damn hard resisting that .pdf but I know in my heart it probably won't be worth my $45. If they eventually put it out for £3 or something, like Final Hours Of Portal 2, I'll snap it up. Just so you're not disappointed, it's worth noting that some stuff is described as being exclusive to the Kickstarter campaign. The PDF isn't, though, and you're right: I doubt it will be worth £45 and it will probably be available elsewhere for less. Speaking of rewards: I'd love to own the hardcover book, but yikes!, that's too much. I'm kind of surprised they haven't added any more to the $250 tier. There's a massive leap from $100 to $500. Very strange to leave that gap. Those who donated $100 have to take the leap to $500 if they want any more goodies... and that's well into the "stupid money" territory (for most of us, anyway). As subbes pointed out, I do wonder if all these t-shirts and posters are actually going to gain them more than they're going to get back. I hope so!
Nachimir Posted March 10, 2012 I post this a lot. It fixes youtube comments: http://www.tannr.com/herp-derp-youtube-comments/ (You can click on them if you really want to read what they actually say, but mostly I look down, go "Hah. YouTube comments" and leave the page).
SiN Posted March 11, 2012 Hilarious! Anyone notice the whiteboard in the first picture: "MORE ORPHANS = CHEAPER". Love the Manny Calavera shot too!
castorp Posted March 11, 2012 (I'd say it's 'Hire orphans') Thanks for the link Nachimir. God, 'The bottom half of the internet' makes me angry.
Roderick Posted March 11, 2012 THANK YOU NACHIMIR! Not only do I not have to read what stupid people have to say, I can also be amused at HERP DERP now. This is terrific.
Ben X Posted March 11, 2012 Unfortunately, I find the phrase "herp derp" annoying. I'll have to just keep wrenching my eyes away from the car wreck.
Roderick Posted March 11, 2012 Herp derp is not ideal, but herp herp derp herpy derpy dumb.

syntheticgerbil Posted March 12, 2012 I'm pretty pissed off, and withdrew my pledge after seeing those pictures. Even though he didn't say he'd use the extra money for the game, I think most people expected him to. What a swindle! It doesn't matter because one picture shows him counterfeiting more! Joy! ThunderPeel2001 Posted March 12, 2012 An hour after Ben posted, they're at: $2,854,606 So that's $10,616 in the last hour. If this pace is maintained, they'll raise an additional $260,000... taking them well over $3 million! I imagine the Western world will go to sleep at some point, though, so that's unlikely to remain constant. Nail biting!
Roderick Posted March 12, 2012 Since the budget for Grim Fandango was 3m, should they breach it it stands to reason... Grim Fandango 2 confirmed
