melmer Posted December 18, 2012 Dewit is taking her to be imprisoned with someone else and the game will end with you locking her in a cage a walking away. A cube shaped cage...
miffy495 Posted December 18, 2012 Bioshock Infinite's ending will trigger Levine's sleeper agents across North America, bringing his new world order to glorious fruition.
Sno Posted December 18, 2012 Their goal will be the creation of a third Freedom Force game.
brkl Posted December 18, 2012 Elizabeth is kidnapped and taken to another castle.
Nappi Posted December 18, 2012 BioShock Infinite ending will be "like nothing you've experienced in a video game before" I bet it will be so disappointing that they are forced to change it later. Oh.. wait..
mikemariano Posted December 18, 2012 You're forced to kill her or something like that, but basically that's the plot of The Last Guardian, so we'll see which game actually comes out first.
TychoCelchuuu Posted December 18, 2012 7 days after you finish the game, Elizabeth crawls out of your TV or computer monitor and kills you.
Ben X Posted December 18, 2012 Independent isn't what i'd call it when she spends most of those three games fawning over Gordon for no particular reason in a completely one-sided relationship. That's almost every character in the game, though! Alyx gives Gordon one shy smile very early on in the first game, that's pretty much the only hint of romance from her end that I can think of. And my point was that she goes off and does her own stuff, helps the player out, is an active part of the revolution. She's never just an escort mission or sitting at a hub waiting for Gordon to come back. I don't really understand your use of the term "nerd-bait" here... Argobot Posted December 18, 2012 Another Eurogamer article, this one about how Irrational has created the best AI companion since Alyx (topical): http://www.eurogamer...e-2s-alyx-vance Love this quote from Levine: “A million times during the course of the game, because it was so hard to get right, there were people who said, 'we really should cut Elizabeth.' When we started working on it, we'd do level reviews and I'd say, 'So where's Liz right now?' They'd say, 'Well, she's back in the closet over there,' Nobody knew how to manager her." Thrik Posted December 18, 2012 Another Eurogamer article, this one about how Irrational has created the best AI companion since Alyx (topical): I'll say — it's the one that kicked off this conversation.
Argobot Posted December 18, 2012 That just means that we get to start the whole conversation over from the beginning! Won't that be fun everyone? Edit: Jeeze, that's 0-2 for me in this thread today. It's just not my day.
TychoCelchuuu Posted December 18, 2012 Being caught in a time loop is pretty appropriate for a conversation about this game, right? Because it has those weird tears in time?
gregbrown Posted December 19, 2012 So... BioShock Infinite ending will be "like nothing you've experienced in a video game before" Anyone up for some speculation? My guess is that it'll meaningfully tie into the "Infinite" title, which I think everyone has disregarded as noise so far.
ThunderPeel2001 Posted December 19, 2012 Hey! I predicted that you can't complete it... Clearly that's going to be because the game is infinite!
Nappi Posted December 19, 2012 Ken Levine is Jorge Luis Borges of video games.
vimes Posted December 19, 2012 In the end, you swap body with Elizabeth, go back in time, loose your memory and replay the game while both personalities are swapped - you are now Elizabeth attempting to save what's-is-name, in a never-ending loop of hope and despair. Take that gender complaining people!
Thrik Posted December 19, 2012 The game ends with you giving her a good first-person shagging. Oh, wait...
melmer Posted December 19, 2012 They've just released the first five minutes of gameplay DONT WATCH IT http://irrationalgames.com/new-featured/first-few-minutes-of-bioshock-infinite/
Thrik Posted December 19, 2012 Why did you link to it then?!?!?!!??!! I can resist, I've had enough game intros and stuff ruined for me by trailers so am not watching any more B:I footage. In fact I haven't watched any for ages and am largely in the dark about this game apart from knowing that it features tits and a flying city.
melmer Posted December 19, 2012 Why did you link to it then?!?!?!!??!! Coz i love to tease you all with a juicy dangler
I_smell Posted December 19, 2012 Big Ken Levine interview: Nothing especially surprising. Made me think though that hearing people talk about a game with very little gameplay shown is a really fun way to find out all about it without spoiling it into not feeling new or exciting when it finally does come out. Obviously you can do that with a studio you trust, like Irrational, and probably not many other people.
