you use your thumbs for the most important manipulation in console gaming (d-pad/analog sticks/ abxy buttons...) so when your thumb is idle you are currently not busy playing, where the idle is obviously only applicable if you would normally use them extensively , i.e. playing video games... *sigh*

A good name, but a silly name nonetheless. Also, I have found that it's very difficult to come up with a good name for a general gaming site without sounding incredibly cliche. Anything with the word "game" in it, for instance, instantly sounds lame.

The funny thing is that several of those used to be in my logs for loonygames back in the day (and still might be -- I don't bother checking those anymore).

For some reason "how to steal cars" always brought in the referrals, although my all-time top two were "breast implants" (that was the name of an article about Lara Croft we ran), and "sims sex" (because we had an article about the Sims that used those particular words).
