  1. Idle Thumbs Hiatus

For what it's worth, my engagement with the forums has dropped as conversation has coalesced into a few megathreads, even if they're for subjects I'm actually interested in, like Switch games. It's basically turned the forums into a slack channel anyway.

  3. The Good Place

    Oh dip.
  4. The Good Place

There's a pretty good companion podcast, hosted by Marc Evan Jackson (who plays Shawn) where various members of the cast and crew are interviewed about things: They started recording it after season 2, so it's very spoiler-heavy on the first two seasons from the start. So... beware.

  6. Idle Thumbs Mastodon

Do you miss the fun days of Twitter, when it wasn't full of (as many) garbage people and was way harder to use? We've set up a Mastodon instance just for Idle Thumbs at What is Mastodon? It's basically decentralized Twitter. You can follow people from other instances, but your local timeline will always show you post from just the Idle Thumbs instance. It's a delight. Also it's free and you can just go sign up.
  7. I believe some folks are still in the process of moving.
  8. Still newer forum!

Nah, the forum software groups reports, and if you reply it just means there's a dangling reply that makes no sense once the spam is cleaned up. Though it does seem to have subsided in the last day or so, fingers crossed.
  9. Still newer forum!

Reporting stuff helps for sure, and I try to clean it up as fast as I can, but sometimes I'm asleep or not at a computer so it takes a while.
  10. Still newer forum!

No, I enabled it the other day to see what would happen
  11. Still newer forum!

Weird, must've been toggled off during a software upgrade. They're back now.
  12. As a person with a tiny kitchen, I further endorse a traditional stovetop pressure cooker, which doesn't take up as much counter space, and can also be used as a normal pot.
  13. Please, coin-based wishes are so 20th century. Now we're all about putting locks on stuff.
  14. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

I bought Golf Story on a whim and I've been enjoying it a lot more than I expected too given almost 0 interest in golf or golf games. It kind of reminds me of the Mario & Luigi games a bit, but if all the combat were converted to golf.
  15. By the way, the Sapphire layers pretty well with the two Freedom cards. They both also earn Ultimate Rewards points which are combinable. One gives 1.5/dollar on everything and the other gives 5/dollar but on quarterly rotating categories. Neither has an annual fee, so they're easy to keep around. I think both also come with a modest sign-up bonus.
