Forbin Posted April 30, 2013 I like that the description of that chemical petman video mentions that he sweats. Also this topic is over 3 years old now, and still filled with terrifying new robot videos.
Laxan Posted May 1, 2013 BZZT ID PLEASE...I'M SORRY BUDDY WE'RE FULL TONIGHT BZZT And the scene of it turning the key in a door is surely the opening to some terrifying cybernoir film.
Ucantalas Posted May 1, 2013 ...its better at picking flat things up off of a table than I am. This is the day I realize how terrifying a robopocalypse would be.
Brannigan Posted May 1, 2013 BZZT ID PLEASE...I'M SORRY BUDDY WE'RE FULL TONIGHT BZZT And the scene of it turning the key in a door is surely the opening to some terrifying cybernoir film. I really don't want to know why that video has late 80's/early 90's porn music.

Gormongous Posted May 2, 2013 A draft report for the UN Human Rights Council recommends a moratorium on "lethal autonomous robotics." This will be seen as the opening salvo in the 2027 Mecha-War, I'm sure.

James Posted May 3, 2013 While the main attraction is obviously the delightful prospect of robots sneaking in to murder you in the night, it's also quite fun to imagine one locking you in, let's say, an office supply cupboard, leaving you a prisoner while it goes about its merry apocalyptic duties. Perhaps it will return to claim your life later; perhaps you will starve to death in the dark. Either way, you're powerless to prevent it. How jolly!
GameDreamer Posted May 4, 2013 Anyone in or around the northeastern Ohio region know why there would be a giant Boston Dynamics truck driving around? I've been looking online to see if there are any robotics conferences in the area and haven't been able to find anything, granted I'm on a phone so I could be missing it. I'm curious to know if they've got BigDog in the back of that thing! I had a chance to pull up and ask the driver but I wasn't sure how well that would have went, in hindsight I don't know why I didn't. /FAIL
