The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

The first world is pretty easy, don't worry. It has a lot of tricks up its sleeve. I'm glad you're giving it a chance, it was one of my top games of last year.

All these EXTREME OPINIONS!! are making me want to pick up Rayman Legends. I loved Origins, so I don't know why I haven't bought it yet.

I played the demo last night, it's actually a pretty rad game. Seemed pretty easy though. The challenge was in collecting things through the level, but even that wasn't particularly hard.

Hi, this is The Internet, you're not allowed to change your opinion. Please continue to argue for your original stance, even if you disagree with it.

Thanks!

My apologies. Rayman is still ugly, and I don't want anything to do with him/her/it.

In other Rayman news, the summer games done quick crew are speed running it right now!

He's just a character design! I will give you that the face is a little bit odd, but it was really only odd in the first Rayman where every thing was designed with a circle in mind. No limbs is a neat concept and it gives you some cool mime style animations to work with. IN RAYMAN 2 HE PLAYS BASKETBALL WITH HIS BODY. THAT IS RAD OKAY.

However, just play Globox, he's a solid character design that I will allow no faults to. He is the best in every game. Also Murfy, that's also a great character design, except when he is voiced by Billy West. That is some bullshit.

I'm pretty much set on buying it now anyway. The Rock Castle level (I think) just made me smile and laugh the whole way through, which convinced me that I was being dumb worrying about one character's design when it's not even that important. Still not going to play as Rayman though.

I would prefer to find a download code though.

Tonic Trouble is pretty good too, I used to love this intro:

Fun trivia, Tonic Trouble has many of the proposed enemies from the previews for the prerendered 3D version of be Rayman 2 before it was scrapped. The 3D models were then taken over to Tonic Trouble and the game became real time, becoming the basis of the engine used for Rayman 2, which I think was later converted for use with Beyond Good and Evil.

If you're into Rayman, I'd like to introduce a cool dude who will blow your mind.

Despite how downright offensive the character is, Rayman Origins and Legends are swell games.

I don't know what it is, but I'm definitely in the anti-rayman camp.  I've tried to like him, and whenever people are hype about a new game I try it out.  But there's something about the character design and audio work that I just don't like.  It feels very foreign.

It's foreign and yet Canada contains the most France-like region outside of France. What's up with that?

And what's the deal with airline peanuts?

That region definitely isn't Toronto, though.

Whenever I think about airline peanuts, I'm always reminded of that scene in Daredevil where Bullseye kills a snoring granny by flicking a peanut down her throat and suffocating her.

That was such a shit film. Not rad at all.

I get Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls pop into my head when I think of airline peanuts. That is a rad film.

I always think about the Washington Redskins selling expired peanuts that they bought off a bankrupt airline a few years ago.  That is an unrad thing to do with airline peanuts.

I'm biologically inclined to like Redskins having been born right outside of Washington, but they a unrad in untold number of ways in recent memory. Also, this is probably the most OT this thread has ever been.
