Darn i forgot, IGN is always positive.

"It's better than a rainbow in the sky." IGN.COM

it's to positive...

It would be cool dough that when a game is bad that they put it on the box also. "It really sucks cocks in hell. 1,67/10" -NOTIGN.COM that would be a must buy form me. Only for the box alone.

Actually, Penny Arcade Adventures kinda did that. Their banner ads had quotes from some PA hater on their forums ... let's see if I can dig up some quotes ...

Aha! It was actually a Wired commenter, and wired then wrote an article about it. Reading it back, it's quite hilarious. :)

Berend Jan, I expect you to buy Penny Arcade Adventures now. ;)

A couple of actual quotes from their review of "Battle Rage" on Wii:

"Worst. Giant robot game. Ever." - IGN.com

I bet IGN would let them use that as a blurb, only modified:

"This game is one of the [...] Wii titles on the system and [...] you love gigantic metallic beasts of awesome." - IGN.com

Sad but true, except it would say:

We sure love rape around here.

Yeah, it kind of bothers me how many of them involve the word, but I didn't let that hold me back.

When I was younger "rape" was a very potent term, and the idea of anyone doing it still makes me very angry. It bother's me a bit that it's become such a commonplace and casual part of gaming slang.

What are you, gay or something?

THAT WAS A VERY BAD JOKE AND I AM VERY SORRY.

I also find it somewhat disconcerting, but the usage here is very far removed from the actual act. Is casually saying a game will rape you really any worse than the way we casually commit murder within video games? I think it's all about context really and in this context I don't think a knee jerk response to the word is appropriate.
