ThunderPeel2001 Posted March 15, 2013 I wish more people would share Kickstarters they've found here. I keep coming across ones that I wish I'd known about after they've closed

Twig Posted March 15, 2013 All right you asked for it I'm about to drop a metric asston of the ones I'm currently following but haven't backed, followed by ones I have backed and that haven't yet finished. board game triassic terror: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2002188924/triassic-terror-fun-with-trex-and-raptors-in-a-pri?ref=card video game empire eden: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1248339394/empire-eden thing rifftrax twilight in theaters: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rifftrax/rifftrax-wants-to-riff-twilight-live-in-theaters-n?ref=discover_pop video game another castle: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/uncadedave/another-castle?ref=category animation the reward: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1862188728/the-reward-tales-of-alethrion video game xing: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1781324918/xing-the-land-beyond video game there came an echo: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iridiumstudios/there-came-an-echo-0?ref=live video game shackleton crater: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/470015043/shackleton-crater movie veronica mars: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/559914737/the-veronica-mars-movie-project art adventures for a lazy afternoon: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/488571414/adventures-for-a-lazy-afternoon Stuff I've backed!: video game ritual dementia: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1957041092/ritual-dementia-the-revenge card game machine for death: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1234131468/machine-of-death-the-game-of-creative-assassinatio board game zombicide season 2: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coolminiornot/zombicide-season-2 video game omega: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/276587736/omega BOLDED IS THE STUFF I'M SUPER INTO (if it's bolded and I haven't backed it yet it's just 'cause I'm lazy). ITALICIZED ARE THE ONES THAT NEED PLEDGES BADLY (or at least cutting it close). That may not affect your decisions, but I tend to be more liberal with my money on projects that are struggling for pledges. Especially video games, because I usually don't give a shit about their rewards. I just want the game.
elmuerte Posted March 15, 2013 Not really that, but... you know... maybe take a little of your dough to make rad games if you can... rather than asking for people's money... He's got plenty of it right ? Well, own money shouldn't really be a factor in starting a kickstarter. But usually it is done by different kinds of people, people that do not have the opportunity to make the thing they want. And of course, there is also the person himself. What's next? Derek Smart starting a kickstarter?

syntheticgerbil Posted March 17, 2013 My last two backs. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/yachtclubgames/shovel-knight Shovel Knight - A kickstarter for the newly formed company by some ex-WayForward employees, mostly consisting of the team members for Bloodrayne Betrayel, A Boy and His Blob, Mighty Milky Way, and Double Dragon Neon (the same lead designer for every single one as well, Sean Velasco). It appears to be a lot of old school 8-bit time fun is in store. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/e6absolutetreasure/electric-six-live-dvd-absolute-treasure If you like Electric Six, you can get a Blu-ray/DVD of a live show. That's about it.
Niyeaux Posted March 17, 2013 Shovel Knight looks awesome. Might have to back that one when I get paid.

Twig Posted April 12, 2013 http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1376061185/bloom-memories-one-of-a-kind-action-adventure-rpg The concept art is so nice in so many ways. Unfortunately, the only video of gameplay (or at least the only one I can find) looks... less than nice. Animation-wise, at least. It's sad. However, skimming through the updates makes the story seem at the very least interesting. Will it be good? I don't know. I can't decide if I want to back this or not. Someone tell me it sucks so I can stop thinking about it. Or tell me it's awesome so I can stop thinking about it.
melmer Posted April 20, 2013 Road rash mother bitch! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/darkseasgames/road-redemption I think idea of it will be a million times better then the reality. It should be sprite based
melmer Posted September 23, 2013 So in the space of about 1 week i lost my kickstarter virginity and like a slag backed 4 of the bastards (all because they're all offering a ps3/ps4/vita version of the game) Mighty No 9 (it would be nice it hit that next gen stretch goal) http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightyno9/mighty-no-9 Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (should hit its targeting goal soon, shame it probably wont reach any of its stretch goals) http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1236620800/shantae-half-genie-hero Hyper Light Drifter (already at 1000% funded, but what the hell) http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1661802484/hyper-light-drifter Project Phoenix (finished, but can still back with PayPal) http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1300298569/project-phoenix-japans-indie-rpg-feat-aaa-talent --------------------------------------------------- i haven't backed this one but i saw Ken Levine pimping it the other day ATKMTN Presents: The Attack Pack - Two rad 2D PC Games (ONLY 3 HOURS TO GO.... they ain't going to make it) http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/attackmountain/atkmtn-presents-the-attack-pack
Justin Leego Posted September 23, 2013 The Attack Pack needing $4.5k in as many hours? Harsh. Waiting for Notch to push it over the line.... SOS in particular looks really good, like it could be a cross between Metal Gear and Sensible Soccer. I don't think the Kickstarter pitch really helped them as much as it could have: too much ambiguity in the otherwise pleasing trailer, the reams of text, image, and not-embedded gifs that mean it takes so long to get to the meat of what their proposal is about, and the stretch goals don't seem to make immediate sense given the jumps in funding targets and the corresponding content offered. Would love it to succeed though. Hopefully they will be able to switch to the Humble Store or PayPal and sell "early access" to fund completion that way.
