It took 1.5 hours to get into a game thanks to it gruesomely mashing three social networks together during installation, requiring sign ups, then GFWL repeatedly crashing, taking the game down with it, and not giving config information. Also, alt+tab fucking the game into oblivion. Is this what PC gaming is like nowadays? Generally, I don't wish anyone ill, but I want to take the designers of all this and rub cum in their eyes.

I kept on yelling at you without realizing that wegten on mumble and Dhwty (or whatever) in the game were the same person. I'd yell at Dhwty and then remember "Oh yeah, he can't hear me." I'm hoping you at least got a laugh out of that and actually catching every word.

 

All in all, that was a great time. Especially 'blix's soundtrack. Awesome to see so many old faces, particularly those who aren't even big forum-goers any more, and a couple of totally new people who fit in quick too. That was dumb. So gloriously, gloriously dumb.

In retrospect, I probably should have used the replay feature to try and get Miffy's angle, but I don't know how any of that stuff works. Can you tag a clip to keep then come back to it later? And what is the button? I could look the answers to both of these questions up quite easily. AND YET I DON'T.

 

Anyway, that was a great session. It's kind of weird how much like old times it was. I thought that moment might have passed for good.

While hastily trying to get Mumble set up, I noticed some text-to-speecj options. Does that work for chat? If so, we could have robot Oliver Twist asking us for invitations. That might be good.

The text-to-speecj works, but it gets drowned out by all the inane human chatter, so it's not a great substitute for having a microphone. It's great for when Lu pastes porn urls, though, and Mumble reads it one character at a time.

My damn audio driver doesn't have mic boost :/ So, I've got to fix that crap before you can even hear me.

During the rocket deathmatch in the prison, I spawned in the middle of firefights three times in a row. The first time, right in the middle of an explosion

 

I hope this is regular. I'm going to pick up a gaming headset before next week.

If people want it to be regular, it'll be regular. Now that we're all old men, once a week is maybe a bit heavy, but I'm up for anything.

I was on the cusp of posting the next event for the same time next Monday, but wasn't sure how many people could make it... so I didn't. 

 

I guess if it works for the majority then that's cool? Speaking selfishly, weekends are no good for me unless we start running it at the same time (8pm BST) as Left 4 Thumbs..? But that seems somewhat counterproductive.

I would certainly be up for some more. Monday works fairly well for me because I'm slightly more likely to have to work late, so I don't generally have anything else arranged. It might be an idea to try a few different days and times to see what suits the most people, though. Or we could try to work that out with words. Or we could just stick to this; that's fine, too.

Thanks for the help with GFWL invites and sorry for dropping out even before the fun began, it wouldn't let me in with mods installed, I think one of them might have been interfering with day/night/weather or something. Good to see an excellent jif produced though.
