tegan Posted June 15, 2013 Whoa, what's that huge fish on the far left in the museum picture? I haven't seen one of those yet. Whale shark! You can only catch them on the island; their shadows look like regular sharks. So I set up two guitars in my house and me and my friend had a guitar duel, surrounded by various sharks. shammack Posted June 16, 2013 They're pretty rare. Normal spiders sometimes hang from trees after you shake them. The tarantula I just found crawling on the ground around 9 or 10 PM. I've only seen one of each of them so far. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
tegan Posted June 16, 2013 The tarantulas come out after 6pm, when it gets dark. They'll attack you if you have your net out or approach them too fast or from the front, though. I've seen two and got bitten both times. Also I raked in a couple hundred thousand bells, paid off my mortgage again (new second floor tomorrow!), got first place in the Bug-Off with 113 points, added a bunch of stuff to the museum, caught a bunch of new sharks for the shark collection, hung out with friends a few times... shammack Posted June 16, 2013 Does anybody know any details about how to use the ores/gems/whatever you call them for furniture customization? I heard that that's what they're for, so I've been hoarding them and waiting for the guy to wake up. But now that I've got him, the only one he's expressed any interest in is the gold nugget (he said if I gave him three of those and 10,000 bells, he'd make some gold furniture. But I only have one, so...). I can't show him any of the other ones, and when I give him furniture to customize, I haven't seen any options related to ores. shammack Posted June 16, 2013 got the helmet for my sweet Varia Suit! I need space boots Aww man, I had the boots, but I just traded them away to a colleague for a Fire Bar yesterday. I did get an extra "hero's cap" (Link hat) today though, if anyone needs that (traded!). I also traded away my Metroid for a Triforce and 50,000 Bells, but now I kind of regret it. I finished my latest community project (a third bridge) and I'm not sure which one I should do next. I really want to build either the museum shop or the dream suite, but neither option has unlocked for me yet, and I'm worried that they might not while I have another project ongoing. I'm intrigued by the Reset Surveillance Center, but it's pretty expensive. And some villager asked for a torch, but I don't really want one, but I'm considering building one anyway in the hopes that somebody will request something else afterwards. shammack Posted June 16, 2013 It's been raining all day in my town, so I've just been hanging out and fishing, trying to catch some rare fish. It seems like rain has much less of an effect on fishing than it used to; I'm still getting stuck with mostly sea/black bass. I got one arowana, but no sign of any arapaima or coelacanth yet.
