toblix Posted October 14, 2011 So, Great game. Very fun, lots to do Some neat variations on driving Something resembling a story that makes sense Well paced – there are always story missions or various side missions to choose from. No repeat barks as far as I noticed. Good-looking and very smooth. Wins Most Fun Driving Sequence Powered By The Dew: a ten minute "hypercar" race on the freeway with borderline epic drifts, swerves, near-misses/near-collisions and the thing where your car is so low you can pass a trailer by going under it. God damn it, the soundtrack is just perfect.
Nappi Posted June 20, 2012 God damn it, the soundtrack is just perfect. Dug up this thread just to confirm this. Someone did an outstanding work picking the songs. Someone's Spotify playlist.
syntheticgerbil Posted June 20, 2012 Hey I work with a designer who did some levels on this. Neat!
Brannigan Posted June 21, 2012 Dug up this thread just to confirm this. Someone did an outstanding work picking the songs. Someone's Spotify playlist. Holy crap thank you. Picked the game up on sale over the weekend, not sure if I'll actually dig into it but the soundtrack is fantastic
Nappi Posted June 21, 2012 No problem. I probably wouldn't have paid full price for the game but I'm enjoying it so far. Good mindless fun.
miffy495 Posted June 22, 2012 It's worth digging into. The last several missions are goddamned crazy, and totally fun. That the ending is basically exactly what was predicted on Idle Thumbs back when the game was announced (I'll spoiler that if requested, but doubt it's necessary) made me so happy I almost couldn't work the controller. twmac Posted June 22, 2012 Agree that the soundtrack is awesome (except for excessive amounts of Black Keys who seem pretty generic) I was going to write an article just about that. The ending is worth playing through until and I absolute loved the 'drive like a nutter and emulate every driving film ever' mentality they went with. Wrestlevania Posted June 24, 2012 Also snapped this up when it was cheap on Steam. Awful lot of fun, and a very refreshing spin on the open world format (at least in terms of driving). The sense of freedom is excellent, and I'm also really enjoying being a policeman chasing down street racers in one event, then a street racer being chased in the next. Lots of fun, and I'm very interested in trying out some Thumbs multiplayer on this if people are up for it?
Nappi Posted July 22, 2012 Just finished it. Ridiculously good fun! I think everybody should buy it.
miffy495 Posted July 22, 2012 Everyone should have bought this during the Steam sale. Ubisoft DRM or not, it's a goddamned fantastic game.
