Jake Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) Live! "Burnin' Down the Wolfman" Watch the video version! Recorded in front of a live audience at PAX 2010's Wolfman Theater, Idle Thumbs presents what is either its third "final episode," or its first "reunion episode," available to the public for the first time in MP3 form. Hear us intermittently forget the audience exists as we share impressions of PAX's finest offerings, fear an exploding microphone, sing songs, and tell the tale of handling Germany's finest wines. With special guests Sean Vanaman and Steve Gaynor. Games Discussed: Torchlight 2, Duke Nukem Forever, Dante's Inferno, Little Big Planet 2, Weinhändler, Imperial 2030, Far Cry 2 Edited April 1, 2011 by Jake
Korax Posted September 8, 2010 YES. Just in time for me to listen to while browsing for porn before going to sleep. I mean, video games.
spindrift Posted September 8, 2010 I had some doubts about how well the idle thumbs format would work in front of a live audience, but man, that went really nicely. Wish I could have been there. I'll miss you dudes
Orv Posted September 8, 2010 Did any of you Thumbs 'staff' get to meet The Duo? (Krahulik/Holkins) Despite being a late comer to the meme factory, I've loved every minute of it, and it's a sad thing to see it go. Until the cyber-ape revolution of 2016, mind you. Sombre Posted September 8, 2010 "Holy shit what is this amazing new song" "Oh wait, it's an incredibly funky version of The Wizard" Goddamn it, the songs were just as good as the entire panel, Remo is insanely talented. Loved the panel guys, was great to hear everyone together, and it was such a great send off. Gonna miss the cast!

thegoodguylives Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) This was such an fantastic cast guys. It's so bittersweet. Can't wait for the video! It warmed my heart to see the (#51) continuation of the original Idle Thumbs podcast. There will now be an enormous video game podcast deficiency in my life. Giant Bomb and Gamer's With Jobs are decent, but nothing comes close to our beloved Thumbs. One last time, thanks so much for the incredible cast guys and best of luck. Dez Posted September 8, 2010 In Google Instant I now have to type "hot scoop" to get hot scoops gaynor. Way to take a step back, Google. I didn't notice that it was episode 51, though. Really nice touch! Kudos to whoever decided that.
Drath Posted September 8, 2010 As soon as the guy started asking about Werewolves, I thought that's where the name of the episode came from... then I thought you were going to burn him down which made it extra hilarious... but then I realized where the Wolfman came from. Hahaha Nick did in fact burn down the wolf man in this episode.
Nick Breckon Posted September 8, 2010 I'm kind of sad that we didn't have time to share all of our favorite Thumbs memories. Though most of mine were off-cast moments. Jake recording a dateline while Chris and I sat out in the hallway, because we'd reached a point where we couldn't even keep a straight face while being in the same room, is probably my all-time best/worst memory combined. If you think we laughed too much while recording, just imagine what was cut. Pure insanity.
GameDreamer Posted September 8, 2010 Goddamn, that was so good. I loved the Far Cry 2 story that Famous told at the end. Excellent!
Nick Breckon Posted September 8, 2010 Hahaha Nick did in fact burn down the wolf man in this episode. Podcast trivia: that was actually my coworker, attempting to crash our cast.
