Rumours that Doom Movie could be good!!

Over at Aint It Cool, th Quint has just reported from Comic-con that three miutes from the film and a panel discussion could be filling fans with the warm faith that a true version is being produced. Delayed till late fall this could be a good sign as Stan Winston has made 6 and 9 foot creatures rather than CG to bring the Hellspawn to the screen in a convincing manner.

What the hell? Aint It Cool News says that they said that it has Mars, Monsters, and other Doom stuff when before, they said it didn't have Doom stuff at all and it was going to be pg-13. So......they lied to us? And if so, why?

i think there was a huge noise made over hell ... i think that once they decided to side-step that issue, the rest of the story worked out better.

I'm curious what the hell they mean with "true version". A True Version of Doom? Seen through first person? 2 hours of walls disappearing behind you? Finding keycards?

what'd they think of Orgazmo? I know that premiered at a convention and I'm not sure if they liked it. Still, I'm kind of encouraged about the doom movie now, especially after replaying Doom III and deciding that it wasn't THAT bad. Bad gameplay, but a great atmosphere. Thus, remove the gameplay and the results may be OK.
