  4. The Big Adventure Playthrough - MISSION COMPLETE

Definitely recommend it, as I felt the same about my playthrough of the originals many years ago but love season 2 and 3 now (season 1 is pleasant but a bit dull). I don't know if it's the remaster improvements, the dearth of games in this style, me caring less about asset/location re-use, or just appreciating the writing more with age, but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed these games this time around. More than Hit The Road, for sure.
  5. Three Moves Ahead 634: 9 Kings Len, Mike Williams, Luke, and Jon roll out the red carpet for 9 Kings, a tile placement base defense game with roguelite elements. It's hard to describe, honestly. But trust us: it's worth a look. 9 Kings, Balatro Listen on the Episode Page Listen on Soundcloud Listen in iTunes
  6. I wasn't a massive fan of the Telltale S&Ms originally (though I thought they really picked up in season 3), but Skunkape did such an incredible job with the remasters that I am tempted to pick them up and give the games another go at some point... Glad you enjoyed the write-ups!
  7. The Big Adventure Playthrough - MISSION COMPLETE

Loved these write-ups...thanks! Aside from Hit The Road, any chance the Telltale Sam and Max remasters are on your backlog? I feel like they're underappreciated games and would be curious to hear your impressions on them.
  8. I enjoyed the game but was oblivious to how many secrets and optional solutions there were. Not thrilled by the ending but I still might do a replay for everything else...
  9. Switch 2

Got one, and I'm enjoying MKW like everyone else, but I'm actually primarily using my Switch 2 for backwards-compatible games. Playing Sam and Max: Beyond Time and Space right now and it's quite a bit nicer with the framerate boost (seemingly 60 FPS). I'm also impressed with how well the game itself has held up; by far better than Hit The Road, in my estimation.
  10. Is it time to move back here?

I'm a very infrequent poster (2015 was my last it seems) and am always interested in resurrecting forums. They're by far my favorite medium for video game discussion. Let's do it!

  12. Free Music / SFX Resource - Over 2500 Tracks

Hi Friends, It's been another busy week creating music for clients, but I did manage to get some new tracks done to share with you all. They're on my Action page: "CAR THEFT 101" (LoFi) "NIGHT TIME ESCAPE" (LoFi) "GRUNGE STREET GAME" (LoFi) https://soundimage.org/action/ Speaking of custom music, if anyone needs some help, feel free to email me. 13. Switch 2

Yes! I got one too. Mario Kart World is pretty amazing. Plays real nice, the Free Roam is really chill and Knockout Tour is fantastic especially online. Looks gorgeous. Music is fabulous. Soundtrack of the year. I've also started playing Tears of the Kingdom again. The new updates are pretty substantial. Feels so good to play it in 60fps. And I forgot how much fun this game is. And I'm looking forward to Bananza. That direct really sold me on it. Looks like Odyssey but with Donkey Kong.

  17. Three Moves Ahead 633: Even More EU5

Why so much vulgarity and swearing? Cannot listen to this podcast out-loud if anyone else is in the vicinity as the degree of cursing is so excessive. Professional writers should be able to express themselves with more than swear-words. It's really becoming too much.
  18. This one is now getting a sequel! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3032010/The_Supper_New_Blood/
  19. Switch 2

Just got me and I'm really enjoying it so far. I've really mostly been playing Mario Kart World on it but I love that. The Welcome Tour is......fine. I'm really hoping some adventure games for the Switch 1 get the mouse controls ported to them.
  20. Is it time to move back here?

Definitely failed but I feel compelled to keep posting here since it's now the oldest forum I've posted at that's still going! Adventure Gamers recently had their forums suddenly shut down after being sold off to a gambling company, and that was the place where I discovered Idle Thumbs
