Wii Shop Channel finally made a tiny bit useful

They've updated the entire Wii System, including disc reading being faster as well as channel switching. But the most important update was the Shop Channel, which now includes features that should've been there in the first place, like the most popular downloads and Search functions.

Will I no longer have to wait 5 minutes for the shop to load? Will browsing the shop no longer feel like browsing the web on a 56k modem? Have they made the interface actually fun to use, like the Mii Channel? :shifty:

Everyone with a Wii should already know this, but Nintendo just launched a new channel yesterday for Wii! Kirby TV Channel! 51 episodes of animated Kirby fun!

I don't know why ep 38 is saying for me that "this episode is not available in your language." As all the eps are in english.

First four are available now. I don't know why big N did this, but it sure is awesome. Even the streaming picture quality is really good. Now if they make the do the mario stuff and excuuuuuse meeee princess next... oh hell yeah

This is approximately 5 years too late. The Wii is dead to me. Sorry for being cynical, but it's insane that they're not doing this for the 3DS, which is an actual viable bit of hardware right now that's getting daily action, not to mention that could use exactly this to show off to the world how awesome it is.
