Ben X Posted April 15, 2012 Fun fact: In England or the USA they call the # sign a pound sign. Is it fun because it's only half-right?
Twig Posted April 15, 2012 Fun fact: In England or the USA they call the # sign a pound sign. I've heard it called both. (I live in America.) Although when referring to the button on the phone it's always exclusively called the pound sign.

subbes Posted April 15, 2012 I've heard it called both (Brit, living in the USA). Usually it's hash in the UK and pound in the US but our VM system says "pound or hash sign" so there's clearly some flux. p.s. ##
Wrestlevania Posted April 17, 2012 Our VM system says "pound or hash sign" so there's clearly some flux. It's a cross-continental service, so it's cheaper and simpler for it to just say both and cover either English-speaking audience. Stop staring at my NERD badge.
