Your Animal Crossing Town

Recommended Posts

I have Apples, Pears, Coconuts, Plums and Cherries, and a golden shovel with which to plant more if I so wish. Punchy left my town... I'm sad about that... but Chevre moved to my town! And she likes it better here. I have a department store, but Tom Nook is getting a bit depressed these days so I don't go in there or he guilt-trips me into listening to his bastard stories.

I'm just about to pay off another mortgage. I think I might start getting individual rooms soon.

My house is 'lovely' all over.

It's snowing outside. I got a message in a bottle earlier, but it was just one I'd sent myself a long time ago. It floated back to my shore because it had nowhere else to go. Since I have no friends.

Kody also left my town. I'm so happy about that. Kody was a weakling, he was a threat to our strong, tight-knit society. He was always ill. I swear to god, every day I would bring Kody medicine, and he would feel a little better, and then he'd be hallucinating by the morning. I think he is a druggy. I gave him a fireplace and a new warm bed and lots of clothes to stay warm and comfortable, but it's no use. He's such a little runt.

Melba wanted to come over to my house. Melba is really clingy. She cries a lot because I always forget to be at my house when she comes. I gave her a radiator for her house because she said she was cold, and she promised she'd use it. But today I looked in the skip and there was the radiator.

Melba is kind of two-faced.

Woohoo!!!! It's finally Spring in my town! I was getting really sick of winter and a bit burnt out. I had caught all of the fish and bugs possible during winter within a week, and I only have four more fossils to go till my collection is complete. It'll be great to have some new stuff to do again. I'm jealous of all your fruit, yuf. I just have apples, pears, and coconuts.

I wish I could get some freakin' coconuts, but everytime I visit a person's town, they've just finished picking and selling them all.

All I want are some coconuts! Come on!

Also: a friend who comes in your town a buries garbage all over the place is not a friend. Not at all.

OftenK, I think I can give you coconuts. I'm only a girl though, so I'm not sure about this whole online thing. Can I connect to anybody anywhere else in Europe? Or THE WORLD? Or what?

Oh god jesus, I'm only 30,000 Bells away from paying my next mortgage off... I have billions of Cherries, but I'm going to wait until I can sell them in a foreign town. Also, I bought some Red Turnips today. Do you have to water them once a day?

I think this whole thread is full of gibberish. I feel left out ;( I guess I'll have to get animal crossing for my DS in order to understand this all...

Yufster, yes you can connect to basically everyone in the world, except for some Asian countries because they don't use the same alphabet.

You do need to exchange "FriendCodes" though (can get one from the guard in the portal). You can't visit people at random. If either party does not have the other's FriendCode it won't work.

the town of little paeding is a bit neglected at the moment, and full of weeds. It's got cherries, coconuts, apples, pears and peaches though, plus my house is super posh.

The other week i had to escort a lost kitten into yufster's town to find her mother, and she sent me a thank you note and a fluffy pink telephone.

Animal crossing is odd.

I really need to get my hands on this crap. Sound like harvest moon took a few tabs and let loose.

I haven't visited my town since September.

I'm sure every townfolk is dead by now.

Me too. I've gotta play it again and see what's happened.

PLUMS?

Is this the DS version? I didn't know there were plums!

I have peaches, cherries, oranges, apples, pears and coconuts. My house has 3 rooms and I am sick of the facist landlord Tom Nook. He pwns the town and is quite clearly murdering the folk that "leave" my village.

I miss Melba. Melba was my friend.

I'm in two minds over whether to get this game or not. I'm not sure if I would enjoy it, or if I would get bored of it because nothing actually seems to happen.

I just picked it up on my way to work tonight. So far I only have 4 other citizens in my town, and I think the wolf may be preparing to eat the rooster. Also, I only seem to be able to get cherries so far. How do I get access to other fruits? Still, what I've seen I like, and I'm looking forward to finally paying off that bastard Nook so that I can get on with my life. I'm fishin and diggin and lookin for bugs and stuff. All in all, lotsa awesome. My original assumption was correct. Harvest Moon + a whole lotta acid.

Congrats for picking up animal crossing! It's most addictive. I must make a point of figuring out how to get online so I can meet up with you folk and give you fruit and stuff.

As for fruit... You gain different fruits by visiting different towns and getting foreign fruit from them to plant in your town. If you don't have any friends with animal crossing, then occasionally your mother will send you a fruit to plant. Also, coconuts wash up on shore every so often.

Haha, it's funny and cute that you think you can move forward in life after paying your FIRST MORTGAGE.

If you want other fruits, you have to visit other peoples towns. Occasionally, your in-game mum will send you other fruits, but it seems to be fairly infrequently.

When you have paid off Nook, he will give you a bigger house and a new mortgage. The are seven house upgrades I think. I'm currently in debt to the tune of 750000 bells, or thereabouts. The top upgrade is millions.

If you want the final shop upgrade, you will have to have someone visit your town and buy something from your shop, as well as spending over 240000 bells in there.

I am willing to visit any towns, if people want fruit or shop upgrades. I am not prepared to engage in any kind of virtual-sexual deviance.

Yufster - You need a wifi dongle if you're not in a wifi hotspot - they can be a pain to set up if you are on a network though. Then you need to visit the two dog guards - the one on the right will give you a friend code. Then you come and visit me.

Yeah, Copper is the one you want to talk to. I set it up so I could go online, but have nowhere to go, but at least I can do it now. I can't figure out if I'm supposed to do something special to make bugs appear when I want to catch them, but I'm fishing a hell of a lot. The aquarium in the museum is getting a ton of winter fish from me, and I've almost got my first mortgage paid off.

On that subject:

Haha, it's funny and cute that you think you can move forward in life after paying your FIRST MORTGAGE.

Thanks. Now you've totally ruined my "18 and just embarking on life" naïveté. I hope you feel really good about yourself. Meh, I figured there'd be more to pay off. As long as Nook doesn't start bustin' my kneecaps or anything if I'm late with a payment, I'll get by.

Certain bugs (and fish) are only available at certain times during the year. Check out this list. During the winter I only saw pill bugs (hit rocks with a shovel to find), mole crickets (dig when you hear a buzzing sound), and cockroaches (sitting on tree trunks), though supposedly there were dung beetles as well. The winter sucks for bugs.

Fair nuff. That pretty much limits me to cockroaches, as it's been two days and Nook still hasn't had a shovel in stock. Still, I got Benedict to use "SPOON!" as his new catch phrase, so it's all worth it.

You can randomly find dung beetles, Moos, by walking around... you'll occasionally see little beetles rolling massive piles of... snow ¬¬

Not anymore - the snow has thawed.

I'm not sure that any of the animal inhabitants leave their droppings lying around, so they must just be a winter thing.

Mole beetles can be heard buzzing and you have to dig them up and chase them. What a nause.

Dammit. Apparently Nook is closed for renovations tomorrow, so it'll be AT LEAST Friday before I can get my hands on a shovel. Still, this first day of spring thing has really helped my bug collection. I found myself actually checking my watch at work tonight and thinking "Shit! Nook's store closes in like 15 minutes! I gotta finish cleaning up fast so I can sell those damn fish before friday." I feel slightly ashamed of this. Still, I sold the fish... :fart:
