  1. PAX East 2013

Separately, anyone feel like maybe doing some board games together one day? There's always Weinhandler.
  2. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

Both are fine. It's not like a Royal Enfield with really shotty carbs. I've heard no complaints and its really just personal preference. Go back too far though and you get into the smaller engine size. I think per 2004(?) they had 750ccs.
  3. 3DS Friend Codes

I just picked up a 3DS this weekend - friend code 1349 - 5069 - 7774 I've already added everyone else I think, if not let me know.
  4. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

I'm biased as we both have T100s, but I'd suggest you go that route over an SE or base.
  5. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

Is that why you lost your license?
  6. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

On my third year of owning my T100 and it's still an amazing all-around bike. There's not really anything it can't do on the road, and a reasonable amount of money could get it to Scrambler level offroad. I never fail to come around the corner in my parking garage and have an immediate 'oh that's a sweet bi..oh that's mine' reaction. The main issue is kind of support for it. Japanese dealerships are so ubiquitous that it's never an issue, but Triumph dealers are so few and far between that you're kind of stuck if you need to take it to a dealer. Especially if you just don't like the one dealer in your area.
  7. PAX East 2013

I'm definitely down for a meetup. The Barking Crab is within walking distance, though a bit expensive (for food at least). That's about all I know around the area.
  8. EVE Online

The Killstar and I recently resubbed to EVE, any Thumbs still play?
  9. The Witness by Jonathan Blow

While the maze things don't look super interesting, I'm trusting Blow enough given what he did changing up Braid's mechanics. Also the Myst island aspect will probably be enough itself.
  10. BioShock Infinite

    Nick Breckon
  11. Crusader K+ngs II

That might actually get me back into the game. England under Danelaw sounds great
  12. New people: Read this, say hi.

    Welcome fellow DC area person
  13. Feminism

He wasn't ranting, he was laying out why the quote above is complete nonsense - he deals directly with the 'cause and intent' which you use as the basis of your trends vs. anecdotes.
  14. History in Video Games

Despite being over-simplified and kind of caricaturish the historical setting and context totally make The Last Express. I wish people would grab a random, unexplored historical era instead of just milling generic sci fi and fantasy over and over.
  15. Idle Thumbs Motorcycle Club

As opposed to the art deco bike, which is legitimately awesome: No he hates it because he's dumb.
  16. Chicago

Pfft, that's like seeing a little miniature version of the Eiffel Tower, come to DC to see the real thing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Washington,_D.C.
  17. Planetside 2

Messed around a bit on my own after the thumbs game. I don't think I'm a fan of the Vanu, their guns are weak and I seem to lose every one on one situation I'd find myself in. New Conglomerate seem to be a bit more my style. Even so, the game being so broad makes it feel like it doesn't really have any focus. Even going into a big firefight, there seems to be a lack of direction in the level design to help the player on the right path.
  18. The ship: fruitcake steam cruise.

I somehow haven't had this game. Anyone have anymore cake left?
  19. Planetside 2

I was IgnatiusThumbs in game. I took a bunch of pictures too - right here. But I think these two pictures best sum up the experience:
  20. GOTY

I beat Journey in about an hour and a half/two hours, so you should be able to fit in. It's great.
  21. iPad gaming

I beat The Room (no connection to Tommy Wiseau) on iPad and I'd definitely recommend it. A very solid puzzle game that reminded me of the Myst series, if at the very least from the story.
  22. Yeah the stalking is kind of what sold it for me, but once I started playing, it was the orienteering that kept me coming back. The creature kind of disrupts all of that so I stopped playing. I wish it was more orienteering/botanically based.
  23. Dark Souls(Demon's Souls successor)

Because I'm slow I've been playing this the last few weeks. I want the soapstone mechanic in every 'singeplayer' game now.
  24. How do I contribute to this forum?

Sorry, sorry... I meant Far Cry 4
