Gwardinen Posted July 29, 2012 Holy crap the Rome Total War and Civ IV pieces totally sent my brain back in time. This pretty much does it for me too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb-gI_pFog0
dibs Posted July 29, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nb-jk6Ftx7o He won a Grammy a few years back for an album including this. My cousin's chior sang it for a competition once too. She looked a little horrified when I told her it was from a video game. This is my first instance of actually loving a piece of music from a game. I used to load up my save here all the time. Sno Posted July 30, 2012 System Shock 2! (A game that i would still say is my personal all-time favorite.) ^ I still love the awesome drum and bass combat themes, even if they weren't always appropriate for the tone. ^ But the real stars are the just phenomenally, pants-wettingly creepy ambient themes. Tanukitsune Posted July 30, 2012 This thread is pretty unhealthy for your nostalgia glands. Such an overdose! I used to turn on my Amiga and let this theme play for ages...
Sno Posted July 30, 2012 I have decided that there need to be more C&C tunes in this thread, and for the purposes of keeping it interesting, here's a couple from the Red Alert expansion packs that i presume a lot of people probably haven't played.

brkl Posted July 30, 2012 Shivers down my spine. Okay, I'll stop. These days some producer would say you can't scare away the player in the menu. That's how far we've fallen.
