Apologies, I got sucked into some battlefield pew pew action. Next week should be good for driving though...

I ran a man over in a motorboat and then crashed a chopper into him, finally finished him off with a knife. Quite satisfying!

Well, I have indicated a number of times that I would not make it, so it was no suprise to me, at least. Glad to hear you had fun with your other game, though.

I've already made a commitment for this afternoon, but I will be back in the game starting next week if all goes as planned. Can't wait.

I also wasn't there (don't know if you noticed) but I'll totally be back next week I hope.

Awesome! Also, I had to turn the mic off after ten minutes because I started having these incredible coughing fits that would, if transmitted, have literally blown you away, so that's why I was really rude and never said sorry or good-bye or anything. Sorry! Disregarding that, though, a fun night of racing was had, especially the one time I won.

Sorry I couldn't make it. I went to try and set up a blu ray player at my theater, as my boss is great with machinery but not so much with anything electronic, and ended up working a 13 hour shift helping get everything in order for his departure halfway across the country to deal with a family emergency. I basically get all his duties for the next two weeks, which will pretty much completely prevent me from joining in any thumb games for that length of time.

Anyway, as I said, 13 hour shift. I had to cancel my "Got an A on my thesis" celebration, and am working the next 9 days straight. I'm a little pissed off, but also feel guilty about that because the reasons my boss is leaving are completely horrible for him. I'm going to go to bed.

Good races last night. I really must spend some of those credits I've accumulated in the single player so I have some decent cars to compete.

I was saying about being disappointed the custom paint jobs didn't transfer over from Forza 2 to 3 and I thought I'd check out some of my old ones on the Forza 2 online photo uploady thing (I traded it in to get F3 so I can't check them out in game). I can't seem to get access to that stuff anymore though, I get an error trying to access it. Does anyone know if that stuff is still online? It would be a shame if they've already abandoned that version.

Still pushing chairs around, Wrestle, or are you in? I'm in at least, I think.

I'm very much hoping to be, toblix. I'll see if I can get organised quickly enough when I get home tonight, but I've still got quite a lot to do so I may be on later in the session.

Have an appointment and then some studying to do. I intend to get more involved with thumbs multiplayer as soon as I can though.

I had fun crashing into you guys and generally ruining your days. Do you have any pointers on what cars I should be focusing my disgusting paint job energies on for next time? Or should I just try to have one from every class?

Definitely get a Fiat Abarth 500. That's the Formula Thumb car. Get it, tweak it, and paint it. Otherwise, just try to have something worth driving in each class, and then make it as hideous as you like. If you want to do some goofy shit, getting an "F in the A" car is a must. I've got my Yaris, Patters has a VW Golf, etc. Just take any car from the F class (your XD would work [i think] for example) and upgrade it until it's an A class car. Usually we try to race in every class and have a few favorite tracks. I'd recommend getting something with All Wheel Drive in as many classes as you can as well, for races like that damn cobblestone one that I can't remember the name of.

Or, y'know, buy some trucks and trick them out. I'm sure if you want to do the derby thing, it'll serve you well.

Damn it, I missed a race with James? Hope you'll show up next time I do, as I expect you haven't dedicated so much of your life to perfecting your Forza 3 skills as everyone else. Any sweet shots or clips from the races?

I don't know about sweet ones, but here are two clips of some description or nondescription:

Battering ram:

The top video isn't showing up for me at the moment. Hopefully it will emerge at some point. It's not that exciting, mind.

Sorry if it seemed like I gave you guys the cold shoulder. I wanted to get in some more Mass Effect 2 so I can get through that at a reasonable pace and then sink my teeth into Red Dead.

My grandmother is staying with me right now so she can come to my graduation ceremony tomorrow. Gaming is pretty much out this week. Next time, yes.

Definitely up for some racing tonight, having rebuilt my humble Formula Thumb Abarth 500 in preparation!

Also had to post this, not because anything exciting happens (it doesn't) but because I got a sweet flashback to SuperCars, and imagined for a second how awesome a top down arcade racer could be on modern systems.
