miffy495 Posted January 26, 2010 I quite liked Lego Batman, and heard Pure was a pretty decent racing game. I'm sure you'll have some fun with it. I'm most certainly up for an F in the A race, although I'm thinking with everybody suddenly copping my style I'm going to need to upgrade my stable... Garple Posted January 27, 2010 Dude. It's looking like FM3 works on my new 360, I'm installing disc 2. Edit: Yeah, it fucking works. I'll be damned. In any event:
Wrestlevania Posted January 27, 2010 Dude. It's looking like FM3 works on my new 360, I'm installing disc 2.Edit: Yeah, it fucking works. I'll be damned. In any event: Wicked. I may not make tonight - pulling a lot of late evenings getting the production work done on a massive project at the moment - but Formula Thumb regulars should be on from the normal time anyway. Patters Posted January 27, 2010 Kind of an awesome game, as usual. Miffy I'll try and finish the Thumbs logo for next week, can't promise anything though, I'll gift it to the thumbs I have who play. Going to make the thumb logos as well probably.
miffy495 Posted January 28, 2010 I was just impressed that your logos were so classy. When compared to my "EAT IT!!!" bumper stickers, you certainly came off as the more mature. And yeah, that final race was incredible. Me following infuriatingly closely behind you for 8 laps, finally overtaking you on the ninth, and then you spinning me out when I was on the homestretch to beat me by half a second is probably the most intense gaming experience I've had in a long time. Well done, sir.
Garple Posted January 28, 2010 Sorry I bailed on the game tonight, Patrick, but it just wasn't letting me join your session and Bayonetta was calling.
Wrestlevania Posted January 28, 2010 And yeah, that final race was incredible. That's exactly why I'd like us to settle on fixed racing classes of sorts, because they're super-competitive then!
Patters Posted January 29, 2010 The results of the dlc vote http://jalopnik.com/5459331/forzalopnik-your-winners-are-here/gallery/ some nice choices, particularly the cosworths.
Garple Posted January 30, 2010 Am I a dork for still driving my Honda Fit that I started with every chance I get? I've formed a bond with that little car. "Honda, Honda goin' faster, faster..."

No, definitely not, Miffy has the same thing with his Yaris, it also appears that we all love our Fiat 500 abarths.
Patters Posted January 30, 2010 (edited) I have done the Idle Thumbs logo, it ain't perfect by any means, but I like it. If you want one sent to you drop me a pm or something with your gamertag, if I don't already have you as a friend. EDIT: I finished my idle thumbs Abarth. http://twitpic.com/10j0qd Edited January 30, 2010 by Patters

Wrestlevania Posted February 1, 2010 The results of the dlc vote http://jalopnik.com/5459331/forzalopnik-your-winners-are-here/gallery/ some nice choices, particularly the cosworths. Seriously..? I couldn't be more underwhelmed if they'd filled it with single-litre bimbo boxes. Some absolute eye-sores in there, and none of them stand out from the raft of cars included with even the standard version of the game.

Some absolute eye-sores in there, and none of them stand out from the raft of cars included with even the standard version of the game. It's better than the 2nd pack, but not the 1st. I really like Cosworths, which is probably from the 18 or so years I have lived in Essex for, Lancias are always fun, The AMC looks cool and the Syclone looks incredibly stupid
Wrestlevania Posted February 2, 2010 Granted, the Escort should hopefully prove to be fun, and the Starion's an interesting inclusion. But the rest? Meh.
miffy495 Posted February 3, 2010 Crud. It's looking unlikely I'll be able to make today's game. We'll see.

Garple Posted February 4, 2010 I was bummed to miss out on the racing yesterday, but I had to go to a Celtics game (Rondo had a double double, money! What up???????). Someday, I'll catch up with you guys. So, If I'm starting to think Forza is awesome(but still can't feel a huge difference between most of the cars because I'm ignorant)...should I download the DLC packs? Note: I like driving the weird stuff like the Mini Cooper and the pickup truck. Is there anything like that in the DLC? I already said this to Patrick, but fucking hell I want so badly for them to put a schoolbus in that game. Also: Miffy, thanks for adding me to your friends list. I like you because you can't go wrong with Animal.
miffy495 Posted February 4, 2010 No worries. I was actually pretty surprised that I didn't already have you on my friends list.
Garple Posted February 5, 2010 Also, guys...check out my photos in the store front if you get a chance and feel like it. I've gotten into the habit of doing a lot of landscapes without any cars in them (but I do cars too). I'm really into that aspect of the game, which I guess demonstrates Forza's something-for-everyone philosophy.
Patters Posted February 8, 2010 I thought this would be an appropriate place to put this. My friend has been building a memorial car for a mutual one who died last year, in his car. It's looking pretty good, if very much a chav mobile.
Wrestlevania Posted February 8, 2010 Looks like a very tidy project car. Not really my thing - not any more anyway - but that's really nicely done.
