Watchmen arcade game...

Recommended Posts

Hey that's nice! The game itself wasn't very interesting, but it's a great little extra to set the tone and feel of the movie. This could have easily been something Adrian produced in the actual Watchmen world =)

Man I'm so excited for this movie. I'm going to read the graphic novel before seeing the movie again, looking forward to it ^__^

Saturday Morning Watchmen!!!

This is rather good.

Hahahah oh dear. It's like Alan Moore's worst nightmare come to life, and far too believable. Very clever in the nods to the relationships and personalities in the book (Rorschach: I'm wacky!).

I hope nothing resembling this comes out of the movie. I'm optimistic about the movie itself, but the first executive to say the words "action figures" must be shot as an example.

Pretty crappy, really. Nice art, but no game design to speak of. Pretty much like most advertising games conceived by ad agencies. Advertising Creative Directors make for poor game designers.

Not that I'm bitter or anything :getmecoat

They seem to have realised that Watchmen isn't that kind of movie, thankfully.

The cartoon is especially ace is you imagine it to be produced by Veidt to go with his toyline.

That's not accurate to 1977 graphical capability at all

Ah, but you're not taking into account the technological advances made possible by the existence of Dr. Manhattan.

Yeah, the game is very poorly executed, and could contain more references too.

I didn't think of that, but that's actually a very good point. Nice one!

Well I believe it received very poor reviews: Getting only 65% and 38% for graphics and sound, respectively.

It only got a "playability" and "addictiveness" rating of 73% and 24%. I guess they weren't advanced enough to have thought of replayability back then.
