Marek Posted December 17, 2006 But I can't because I'm at my parents house and they are playing Wii Sports with two of their friends. They've been for 1,5 hours now and I can't get them to stop. I... I think I have something in my eye.

SpiderMonkey Posted December 17, 2006 I saw 5 minutes of Wii Sports the other day. I think I must be dead or something, because it looked really boring. All I could think was "for £180, I could buy a tennis racket/golf clubs/whatever and play the real thing".

And they say that flying Wiimotes are a hazard! Besides, for most of the world it's almost winter. I'd also like to see you play tennis in -20 degree weather on a snow drift covered court. Marek Posted December 18, 2006 Having a tennis simulator video game such as Wii Tennis in your living room would be more like having a private tennis court in your backyard that requires no additional equipment, training or maintenance, can be played any time of day under any weather circumstances, and also magically takes control of the tennis players on it so that they're almost always in a position where they can hit the ball. brkl Posted December 18, 2006 I have also heard rumours that there are other games for the Wii than tennis.

Multiple people have commented to me that it's like having a bowling alley in your house. Seriously, I've yet to have people over for Wii who didn't want one afterwards. At Thanksgiving, my mom demanded that I set it up so that all her guests could play it before leaving.
Marek Posted December 20, 2006 Haha yeah the bowling alley thing is really true. When you play bowling, you're probably with a group, sitting on couches, probably near a table, probably having drinks, probably using an area besides the table for "rolling the ball", so the setting becomes almost identical to the real thing.
