  1. Splatoon is Ink-redible

You really can't trust cats. I'm amazed by all this, why choose post-apocalyptic zombies when you can have squids? Nintendo sure likes to be unique on their stuff. I really need to limit my playing time of Splatoon, I'm so tired the last couple of days because of this game, my sleeping hours got all fucked up. It's just too hard to stop playing it. Is there a consensus on which weapons are the best? I bought a bunch of new stuff yesterday to replace my personalized splattershot, but none of them felt really good.
  2. E3 2015

Seriously, how could they think this was a good idea
  3. E3 2015

You can already mark your card, tegan =) But honestly, I don't think Aisha Tyler is that bad, she just makes some painfully forced jokes that are probably requested by someone at Ubisoft. When she's speaking freely it's OK, way better than Mr. Caffeine (that's a really low bar though).
  4. E3 2015

Thanks for the timetable and the bingo card, I just lol'd at the office to my embarrassment. Brilliant stuff in there. I think we might actually see a PS4 price drop, considering Xbox is doing better with the reduced price on US. Project Morpheus release date might happen as well. But please, not another Killzone, it's bizarre how they insisted on this series for so long.
  5. Nintendo Network ID Exchange Thread

I'm adding everyone =) My NNID is gbmeira. I'm addicted to Splatoon right now.
  6. Splatoon is Ink-redible

This will sound a bit exaggerated, but the first impressions I got from playing the first section of Splatoon's singleplayer are the best possible. It's simply the best shooter I played in recent memory and the definitely the most inovative. It's awesome how Nintendo managed to unite shooting with traversal/platforming and cover mechanics, since you need to paint the floor to dash and jump through places, and you can also can hide in the paint to avoid enemy fire. I don't remember seeing any other game doing that - actually, Portal did that, but it was a puzzle, not a shooter. It really feels like a cohesive and solid mechanic, instead of a shooter trying to implement platforming in a clumsy way. The enemy variety is great so far, I like the specifics ways to deal with each enemy type, and those doesn't involve headshots or common stuff that we see in shooters. The multiplayer is great as well, I did great at the first matches, you really need to focus on painting more ground, killing other squids is just incidental, can't be your priority. It's really fun, but I though it was a bit lackluster when compared to the single-player. Maybe Nintendo will release more game mods and maps that add more interesting stuff. Splatoon is truly fantastic, it's so refreshing and unique, it doesn't feel like anything I played before even if it's core mechanics are based in familiar genres. I'm blown away by this.
  7. Nintendo 3DS

Yep, the new direct also showed that Fire Emblem If will have a interesting castle building feature and some, well, waifu/husbando things I don't know how to explain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oO7b-oWl2g I only played FE Awekening, but it seems that they're making a lot of interesting changes in the series with If, I'll probably pick it up when it releases. EDIT: added the video now.
  8. The Nintendo Wii U is Great Thread

Hnnggggg... You are making it so hard to resist. Damn it, I'm going to buy this game this afternoon, the digital version, since the retail prices here in Brazil gone a bit crazy after Nintendo left the country. I hope the game isn't too big to download. I'm not a big multiplayer fan, but had a great time with Titanfall and Chivalry recently, I believe I can find enjoyment in Splatoon as well. Will post my ID on the exchange thread, will also add the ones who posted there, hope we can play some matches together =)

Persona 4 is amazing, it certainly has a unique style. I agree with about it's length, I'd prefer if it was shorter. But, since it was a JRPG, I just set the difficulty to easy from the start, that made it a very safe and calm journey despite it's length. What really stood out in the game for me were the characters, they were great. I loved that their powers came from their weaknesses, and how you learn even more about each chacracter flaws when progressing with the social link. It was pretty cool and made me actually care with them, even though the writing was really simple. Great game.
  10. Source: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/kojima-expected-to-leave-konami-after-mgs5-inside-/1100-6426024/ I hope Silent Hills sees the light of day somehow, but I'm not sure after this. Damn.
  11. Broken Age - Double Fine Adventure!

Amazing, had no idea as well. Will buy to play with my girlfriend, she doesn't have a console or gaming PC and was crazy to see how Vella story will end.

  13. P.T (Playable Teaser for Silent Hills)

That's sad. Del Toro will never make a Video Game. Better download Silent Hills now, will play it when I grow up.
  14. Video Game Baby - Idle Parents

    Awww, it's so cute!
  15. Deus Ex Universe

Exactly. It's also worth remembering how some good game trailers - Dead Island - didin't reflect the tone or quality of the game.
  16. Deus Ex Universe

I really loved Deus Ex Human Revolution, it was very unique for me. I never played the original, so it was fantastic to see a game with such a subtle open-ended level design. It was great to find my own path through the game without clear cues of which approach I should take, and I never really focused on one or other approach, it demanded some variety through the different missions. Another thing that was fantastic were the confrontational dialogues, it actually had some really good reasoning to confront the sloppy answers given by the NPCs. The only weak point of the game for me was its ending. I know that there's some criticism about the game apparentely being a step back when compared to the original, but playing Human Revolution without any baggage was a truly fresh and original experience, one of the highest points of AAA gaming in the recent years for me.

  18. Deus Ex Universe

Well, Gameinformer just revealed that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a thing! It's a new game for PC/PS4/XB1. More info at: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2015/04/07/may-cover-revealed-deus-ex-mankind-divided-568435.aspx I definitely asked for this.
  19. Mad Men is on HBO in Brazil. We don't have AMC here. So maybe they have the rights to broadcast the show overseas.About the game, fantastic screenshots! It's finally time to change my iPad wallpaper.
  20. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

This topic reminded me of this amazing video: Hayte me if old.
  21. PL4YST4TION 4

I've been playing my newly bought PS4 the last three days, it's great! I'm loving Infamous: Second Son, the story could be a bit better, but it's still enjoyable, definetely superior than most stuff in AAA space. The game visuals are fantastic, all the lights, particles and beautiful animations makes it one of the most (if not the most) beautiful games I ever played. The gameplay feels better this time in my opinion, I believe the extra power of the PS4 moved the series forward in the way of creating more possibilities for you to move faster through the scenery and deal with all the enemies, specially due to the new "evade" powers, it feels way more satisfying using it to escape and to pursue your enemies. It's a great game, totally worth it. Driveclub is great as well, slowly I'm getting the hang of it (but still a bit far away of matching Yasawas times - I enjoyed this online feature). The game is gorgeous and it's the most photorealistic game I ever played. However, it's just a regular racer, nothing really special about it besides its visuals, and I feel a bit disappointed that a lot of stuff is behind a paywall - I do want to have some of the extra races, but I feel kinda bad putting even more money into it. Destiny was another high point for me, but I only played the first section of the demo. Game looks great, even considering that it is a cross-gen game, and I liked the gameplay and level design. I enjoyed specially the slow and more peaceful pacing of it, usually shooters are too chaotic and I don't like the swarming of bullet sounds that stays in my head for hours after playing modern war games. I do however fear that it may be not enjoyable (or not even possible) to play it alone, as I saw a lot of people saying that the game isn't really fun if you don't have a regular party to play with. I also subscribed to PS+ already, as I saw that I wouldn't have much choice of not doing it. Of it's current free games, I played only Olli Olli 2 and it's pretty good, hard as hell as I always press X wanting to jump, but I'm getiing better at it. It's a good and quick past time. Later I'm going to try the revamped version of Abe's Odyssey, I loved playing the original with my neighbor as a kid. I like how the OS is fast and the fact that you can multitask. The suspend feature is amazing as well. The only bad thing so far are the download speeds, even wired they kinda suck. It's a bit better than my PS3, but still so far from ideal. I tried messing with DNS and MTU but no success. Overall, I think that the PS4 is amazing. With it I realized that I shouldn't invest much money in PC parts, at least not in the next couple of years. In 2013 I decided to upgrade my PC instead of buying a PS4 and I regret this decision, all the performance issues I was having on PC are non existent on PS4, I guess frame pacing is something much easier to control on consoles. It just need more games that I actually feel like playing on it, but I believe this will happen eventually.
  22. PL4YST4TION 4

This suspend feature seems amazing, always wanted something like this in home consoles, it's great on handhelds. Well, my PS4 arrives at home in a few hours. Totally excited. The rest of the week is holiday where I work, so I'll have plenty of time to play with it. I have Infamous Second Son and Driveclub. Does anyone else here has Driveclub? I don't usually play multiplayer games, but feel free to add me, my PSN ID is umsobre2. it will be way better to play with you guys
  23. "You know boif, you're such a handsome collection" I honestly love the name of this remaster, more publishers should take this route instead of using, well, "remasters" and "goty edition". I never played Borderlands for a long time, never saw myself having much fun with it to be honest. In my view it seems that you just shoot stuff and get dozens of loot, and I always feel overwhelmed by lots of options. This is the main point of this game, right?
  24. How good is the story/lore in Bloodborne? I usually don't really care for lore in games, but I've seen some Dark Souls let's plays that got me interested with the very subtle way the story, which is pretty much your character discovering the lore that involves all those other weird characters you're fighting and interacting.
  25. Yep, fantastic reviews so far, it seems like the first game of PS4/XB1 gen that's universally praised.
