Markus Posted July 13, 2006 I'm going to place an order with Play-Asia in a few days (Cooking Mama, Densetsu no Stafi 4, Children of Mana, Ouendan), and wanted to get me some great japanese candies too: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-14-71-7u-49-en.html So far i have these on my list: - Shuwa Puccho Can drops retro (Hotaru no Haka) - Banana Choco - Watermelon Cup Candy - Nissin Cisco Crisp Milk Choco - Shigekikkusu Jet Mega Iron Gummi which ones taste good, and which one don't? Any more recommendations?
Twilo Posted July 14, 2006 I have a Children of Mana order (freaking awesome discount, dude) due to arrive any day now from Play-Asia and I ordered a bag of Happy Candy Wild Strawberry Candy. I don't know if it'll arrive before you make your order but I'll tell you what they're like anyway. I wanted to get the Shuwa Puccho drops because it's kind of creepy (if you've seen Grave of the Fireflies) but they weigh a bit too much and the shipping is sort of high. Let me know what the quantity of sweets inside is like so I can figure out if I think it's worth it throwing them in with my next order. I hear that the Banana Chocos are awesome, I might get some too. If all you really want is candy (and aren't just throwing them in with Video game orders like I am) then Jlist/JBox is a good place to try. They have Pocky and Black Black and those biscuits shaped like fish. The Genius Bakabon Russian Roulette candy looks fun; you get 7 wrapped sweets, one of which has a really hot spicy flavour. There are some cool chewing gums there too, one of which is like cotton candy, and some others have roast coffee flavour.
miffy495 Posted July 14, 2006 I was once given some Happy Asparagus Biscuits as desert when the people at a sushi restaurant were told by my friend that it was my birthday. Those were pretty good, tasted nothing like asparagus. Kind of like animal crackers with extra sugar and some sesame seeds thrown in. Tasty, at any rate.
