ysbreker Posted June 3, 2006 Why does everyone likes this game so much? I'm a pretty decent player (atleast, I like to think I am) But I totally suck at Sonic Rush. Somehow I can't get any further than the very first boss battle. This means I'm totally stuck with either Sonic or Blaze. I either drown with Sonic in the underwater level. Or get bummed in the gob by misjumping some important jump, loosing all my speed needed to make the jump in the first place and I can start all over again. In Zone 1. Which I just clearen with a lot of blood, sweat and tears. And what's with those spinner things? I can make sonic spin till his power meter is entirely empy. But the mysterious portals mentioned in the manual never open. What am I doing wrong? Can the Sonic fans please explain to me how to play? Cause I really want to enjoy my first sonic experience. miffy495 Posted June 4, 2006 How much power do you have when you're going on the spinner? You need to empty about two bars worth into the spinner to get the portal. I didn't really find it that hard. Actually, I beat it in what was to me a dissappointingly short amount of time. Maybe it's just a learning curve thing and the fact that I'd played all the 2D Sonics beforehand made it a hell of a lot easier. I didn't run into any trouble until Act 6. Go fast, curl up when you can, and take the highest possible route. I don't know what else you can do to make Sonic easier. Maybe go back and play the earlier ones first? The Mega Collection is available on all three consoles, so give it a shot. That way, even if you don't end up liking Sonic you still have Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. The Tingler Posted June 4, 2006 Yeah, this really shouldn't be your first Sonic game. Not that you can't play Sonic Rush first, you just have to play the Megadrive/Genesis Sonic games! Everyone does! I personally am completely stuck at the final boss though, and getting the last Emerald. And I'm a lifelong Sonic fan. I even played through Heroes! Although I haven't finished Shadow the Hedgehog, just can't be bothered. I'd exchange it, but they're giving such crappy prices for it.... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Tommy Gun Posted June 4, 2006 I got through the first act easily with Sonic, but I hate the second (underwater)! So I switched to Blaze, and now I'm on the last boss, haven't beaten it yet though. You just have to learn to go slower at certain parts, and remember things. Blaze's hover ability is really cool, it can save you, so remember to use it. SiW Posted June 5, 2006 Thank God! I thought I just sucked when I found it hard but everyone was saying it was easy. I think it has just the right amount of challenge actually, because it pisses me off until I'm determined to get past a part, and when I finally do, I get an actual sense of satisfaction.
