twmac Posted August 25, 2005 Speedball 2: Perfect balance of game and controls Only two (admittedly solid) leagues A benchmark for all games to come, that no one bothered to look at, I mean 'Deathrow' for crissakes
Chris Posted August 25, 2005 Advance Wars DS: Holy shit this game is fun, and the AI seems improved. Stylus control should have been better; I just use the D-pad. NO ONLINE
Karimi Posted August 25, 2005 Evil Genius: Aesthetically flawless. World map, fortified with attrition. Drags on. I agree, it was a great game but not enough, its a shame you can't do more. What is there to be done you ask ? Well , lemme see : 1-A base on the moon , underwater, or somewhere. 2-Genetic engineering to make laser shooting sharks. 3- How bout a two story sanctum , with a basement ! Thats about it. But it already sounds like an expansion huh !
Nachimir Posted August 26, 2005 Yes, I would love to see a sequel (Heresy! ) with the gameplay refined. A pity Elixir went down; I'll be looking out for any other games involving Demis. I reinstalled it recently and found that by the time I'd got past the crime lords meeting, I'd had enough and my enjoyment was waning. Until then it was an utter delight: mostly to watch. It seemed at points as if it was a totally art driven game, to the point of occasionally interfering with the gameplay. For instance, the primary reward for new stuff often seems to be the related animations. The animations of minions running into the helicopter or boat are the timer for deployment on the world map. The world map looks slick, but has a tragically clunky interface when you want to start moving minions between territories. It annoyed me a bit when I had to move islands too; I always thought it would be better to pick a location with particular pros and cons, as well as an evil genius. Roderick Posted August 26, 2005 Early Another Code opinion: Lush atmosphere, inventive outside-the-box puzzles making use of the DS's every feature amnesia-themed, apparantly being very short Puzzles can be too obscure and contrived Age of Empires 2: I want to play it again! Timber hochwandi Edinburgh wanted a ridiculous 25 quid for it
Lechimp Posted August 26, 2005 Nintendogs One of the most addicting games since Animal Crossing The only way to make money is through competitions Sometimes the voice recognition can be really annoying and not work well
miffy495 Posted August 26, 2005 yeah, I've had similar problems with the voice recognition. "Sam? Sam? Sam! Sam! Sam! SAM! GET THE FUCK OVER HERE YOU STUPID MUTT!!! Sam?" Otherwise, much fun. Plus I won my first flying disc tourney last night! Huzzah!
