MrHoatzin Posted May 31, 2005 My mother thinks everything I do is some sort of quaint distraction and that any moment now I will drop it all and opt to study law. This of course is passive-aggressively hinted at between long episodes of heartfelt support for all my ventures. So no. She doesn't read it. The few articles of mine she has read -- published here and elsewhere, on games and other things -- she has misunderstood due to skimming and the language barrier. That said, she would probably be very sad if she ever came upon all this random slurry bile. I seldom try to meet her half way. I don't tell her I am writing anything when I am. I don't show her my writing unless she insists. Plus, being a scientist, she has a completely different working english vocabulary and may earnestly misinterpret certain highfalutin words.
