Layoffs At EA LA

Recommended Posts

1UP is reporting that Electronic Arts has layed off between 50-70 people from it's Los Angeles offices, where a large part of EA games are developed. Apparently the teams effected are the ones responsible for GoldenEye: Rogue Agent and Medal of Honor: Dogs of War. EA LA was also responsible for last year's Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault and The Lord of The Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth.

So they're blaming the staff for games that don't sell well?

Or have people actually been buying Rogue Agent?

Jaero: If only.

Ha, ha!

(Actually, I think it sold pretty well initially, but sales quickly tapered off as word of mouth ran its course)

I'm not one for suicide missions. I doubt anyone else is.

Oh, they own 50% of DICE (Battlefield, etc.) now too. Magnificent.
