I used to get so frustrated in Tekken III, no controller lasted more than a week :(

Your controller is obviously retarded. I recommend you buy the insurance plan on it next time.

official Analog controller (DUALSHOCK®2)s can last a fucking long time.. We've got some in the testing dept that have lasted years of daily use... and abuse ¬ ¬

3rd party versions last minutes and are shit

Hmmm... When my brother bought his PS2, the controller died within a week: The spring broke/got loose in the L2 button. He got a new one. A few weeks later one of the sticks started to malfunction.

Solution: Logitech extreme action controller.

And it's so much comfortable in your hands too!

Pretty much the only problem I have with the official PS2 controller is the individualness of the "arrow" buttons. It would've been better had they been one button on a pivot, like Spaff's avatar.

I'm a big fan of Logitech's cordless PS2 and Xbox controllers. The latest ones are the same size as the DualShock, run for 50 hours on two AA batteries (twice that with force feedback turned off), and they're pretty darn durable.

Yeah, in retrospect, I should have gotten an original or just a better one, but I wanted it urgently so I could play GTA: SA and that was all the money I had to spend at the time.

Shit, I think I'm going to have to buy a better one soon. I just got to the point where you have to learn to fly and it's nearly impossible with those lousy sticks... Or maybe it's meant to be?

I did manage the RC Baron mission somehow though, but took me some 7-8 tries.

Can anyone with a normal (original) PS2 controller and San Andreas tell me if for example the car wheels are supposed to turn smoothly as you move the controller? For me it's quite difficult to get them to any position between straight and the most right/left.

Is the Sony original the best one to get? We don't seem to have a lot of selection here... or I don't know the right stores.

In other news: I moved my furniture around today and it was my mother who figured out how to get the bed into a geometrically-challenged corner at the time when my father and I were about to give up.

Thanx, baconian. I went and bought the original one (ocean blue) and it's much better. It's damn small, though.

Nintendo are probably rejoicing at having patented their d-pad :D...
