Windows 10: "It wouldn't be right to call it Windows 9."
Twig replied to Urthman's topic in Idle Banter
i was gonna say, yeah -
Looks to me like it's all (or nearly all) PC games. Which is the correct way to do anything involving FPS! With Timesplitters 2 being the one notable exception, of course.
-
Also I don't know who Chris Crawford is, so I can unequivocally state that he is not important!
-
Well that explains it. I hate phone games!

I played 10000000 and I don't get why people like it. It was boring. I put it in my "fuck these games" category on Steam. U:
-
It's precisely because it doesn't feel great that it feels old. U:

I'm mad because I thought this was supposed to last all weekend, but it was already done by the time I wanted to play this morning. |: |:

Haha, that's strange to me, because that one in particular is more retro in terms of mechanics and gameplay feel than a good deal of the 2D nostalgia-bombs I play. The meta-structure stuff isn't, of course, but man the way sword swinging and jumping feels and even the way the graphics look (which, tbh, isn't that great), feels so old.

I'm somewhere in the middle of season three. I'm watching it still, but very slowly. It definitely has gotten way way better than the first season, which was mostly a chore, with a few highlights. My favorite recent episode was the Ghostfacers episode, that was damn fine. I've heard similar things about the series tanking, but I'll probably still give it a shot, assuming I'm still enjoying it around that time. I'm not the type of person to let something bad ruin the good (usually), and I'll probably be curious, at least, which is enough of a reason for me to go on.

Awesome, I'll look all that junk up. Thanks!

Yeah that's my problem with Blighttown. It'd look fantastic if I could actually see it. ):

Official Giant Bomb Thread Mostly for Complaining About Dan

I also don't feel like Austin's holding himself back at all. He went into a deep dive about the difference between procedural and random generation last week, and he definitely wasn't holding back this week when talking about the consequences of Arkham Knight and the Steam refunds and what that might mean. (I think it was him that brought that up, anyway.) Beastcast has a totally different feel from Bombcast, for me. U: And yeah that Jeff Bakalar intro was incredible.- 1367 replies

I actually just hate Sen's Fortress altogether. It's boring to look at and it's annoying to play through. I realize I'm the minority, but ugh it's just the worst area in the game. Well, except the poison swamp. And maybe blighttown, although that's easy once you know what you're doing. Although so is Sen's Fortress. So uh whatever. I would love Blighttown if it wasn't so annoyingly dark. I can't stand dark areas. New Londo is sort of too dark but it's also slimy so you get lots of light reflection so it's not as dark as it at first appears to be. Not that Blighttown is actually that dark, either, but it's dark enough.

Haha, I watched the first episode. It was fucking incredible, holy shit. It amazes me how clever it managed to be while also just being utterly fucking bonkers. I'm glad I got over the initial hump of not really being into the art (which no longer bothers me, I think!) and gave the show a shot because it's just goddamn good goddamnit! I... I might watch the second episode now, though.

I have to wonder if NOA will localize Fire Emblem to be less disgusting, or if they lack the freedom to do so, or even if they have the freedom if they'll choose not to. ): Also that's a good comic. I like it.

Speaking of, Fallout 3 is going to be the next big game I play, so someone tell me all the necessary mods to make the game not look like beaver butt. Thaaaaaanks!
-
Yeah it's... it's not good.
-
It's not great, but I think as with most things, it's the Old People keeping change from happening. Also add in a pinch of lack-of-activism. That is just kind of a guess from what little I know, though. My knowledge is by no means extensive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Japan

Because it's a boring, uninteresting trope. It's also entirely possible to do sexy and seductive without chainmail bikinis! In fact is argue it's easier. QoP is like a cartoon version of sexy. Sure it's stereotypical fantasy cartoon sexy but...that's boring. It's so overdone it ends up just being blatantly pandering.
-
Me too! But then it'd probably be like latex or something. Ugh.

Yeah that's fair. I can't remember how I played, but I'm fairly certain it was with a controller. I also played Super Meat Boy with a controller, though. Keyboard for that game was impossible! At any rate, SMB is definitely good because of its simplicity, but I also appreciate a twitchy mechanics-heavy platformer, too. Weirdly, I hate fighting games and character action games! I've not played Dustforce beyond the first level, weirdly enough, even though it looks like I'd love it. CLWheeljack: Destructoid and Giant Bomb (EDIT: oh beaten)
-
Given the trend of the more recent arcanas making the females expose more and more skin, I wonder if they'll take the reverse direction with QoP! Or just make her totally nude.
-
I loved the game, especially the platforming bits, because the combat was the least interesting part, although it was still pretty fun. I'm good at platformers, though.

Ouran Boast Club - Planning an Anime Podcast

Hi the previous episode is still being edited, but we're recording a new one this upcoming weekend, although it's the 4th so I expect some Americans won't be available, but hey, whatever, here you go sign up if you're interested. http://doodle.com/i9s64w5zvmsi77i2 Our spotlight is going to be Dallos. It's apparently the first ever OVA! It might be good, or it might not. No one knows. Look at that gun, though. -
I watched the, uh, first episode of Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! last night. Holy shit I laughed a lot. It's a parody of the magical girl genre with magical boys instead. I dunno if it'll keep up the momentum of the first episode, but that was beautiful.
