I expect the Steam Vive will actually be there, and the Sony Morpheus. Not sure what to expect, but it'll be good, I hope.

I wanna go home and try peeling some garlic for fun now that everyone's shared these cool tricks. X: But I've got chili for a few days at least, so I'll hold off. Also I bought a bunch of chicken and a can of salsa for a slow cooker thing so I'll try that out after the chili's gone.

Haha, I kind of wanted to hate her in that position, but honestly she's better than almost everyone else. I think most of her shitty lines come from people trying to write clever things for her to say, but it falling flat cause it feels fake? I dunno. Also at least she's better than what's-his-face, the dude from Community, fuck what's his name, argh. Sort of. I absolutely love his complete mockery of these showy nonsense things. Like when he did that spike tv thing once. And by love I mean, man, that shit deserves some mocking. I certainly won't begrudge anyone for not liking her. I won't begrudge anyone for disliking any of E3. So much of it is a joke. Except Nintendo's shit, which is often literally a joke but comes off so endearingly that I love it with all my hearts.

Yeah it's super frustrating. Also I got my shipment of wave 4 amiibo, but I never managed to snag a Greninja or Jigglypuff or Lucina or Robin. So those are the ones I'm missing. ): ): Out of those I care about Jigglypuff the most, but I still want them all! I asked a friend of mine to grab Jiggly for me 'cause he said he was going to Target early in the morning. He told me the next day when I said I didn't find one after work that I should've asked him to grab one, 'cause he could have. GRRRR.

I also saw it in 2D and don't remember this thing at all. I imagine, though, it's one of those things that if you see it, it bothers the hell out of you, but if you don't, it's like, "what are you talking about". Shrug!

WHAT I didn't mind the actual cutting part, 'cause I feel that's a skill that will develop over time, but the peeling was what took too long for my tastes. Now I feel like my whole life up until this point has been meaningless.

Hmmm I dunno about vegetarian but I'll look into it. Thanks! Also I spent an hour last night slicing up two cloves of garlic. I'm not exaggerating. I'm bad at this. That was tedious. I'm never buying whole cloves of garlic ever again. I made a huge mistake.

Okay I have a serious question actually. Y'all keep saying the mom was fridged. Isn't fridging a thing used to motivate the main character? i.e., revenge or something? Iiiii admit I have a terrible memory, so go ahead and fill in the blank if I'm forgetting something, but as far as I recall, the titular brothers' motivation is entirely to save their dad. I don't even know if the mother dying even served a purpose other than to set the scene that they have no mother. This is not a defense. This is a question. And now I'm going to click "Post" before I bother to go look up the definition of the trope!

Well I sure don't feel that way. It was still a video game-y ass video game. I can vaguely recall certain scenes (climbing up the long-ass ladder in the tower, walking up a three-tiered thing and fighting shadow things, other junk) and man is it a video game. I like both. You all like one or the other. Where's someone who hates both? Let's get this party started!

I liked Ico and I wouldn't really compare them, even though they're ostensibly similar.

I would argue this vehemently without ever backing down! I don't consider something like The Resistance to be a "serious competitive game", and also I was pretty much exclusively thinking of video games at the time. To date, most of those types board game conventions just don't carry over well into video games for whatever reason. (That reason usually being players being unwilling to buy into the spirit of the game, and instead exploiting things like voice chat.)
