  1. Star Wars VII - Open spoilers

    Maybe that's why it crashed?
  2. I Had A Random Thought...

Some chap in London is domain squatting blacktwitter.com. Unbelievable! Put it to good use, man! ..maybe blocking anyone else from actually doing something with it is good use.
  3. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

I'm loving that we can all predict something utterly wild and left field and still have it be totally within the realms of possibility because Nintendo. I_Smell, good to see you around man. About the cents situation, are we talking US or Eurocentimes? Keep plugging away with "homeheld", Dartmonkey, get that well into communal, subconscious circulation. It'll catch on, lad. It'll catch on.
  4. Recently completed video games

It's cool that you're enjoying the Revelations series Tanu! I guess the last game I completed must have been Thomas Was Alone. Good single-player cooperative experience.
  5. Yes, 2016 IR / PR release sounds like a better bet. Depends how similar it is to existing architecture though? If part of it is essentially a beefed up, HD 3DS in a console box with the option for multiple display-controllers?
  6. The Great Co-op Thread

I'd be up for a bit of Broforce if anyone wants to try it out online. It's great fun local and online multiplayer (wait, can it do both? I forget but suspect it might)
  7. Other podcasts

WHATedit: now having caught up on a page of posts, and despite not having any real time of late with which to have pods of any sort cast into my ear, boo hoo: thank you, Tszufi and Apple Cider, for the Justice Points you have made. I was just thinking about one of your discussions today, you have made a difference, a real difference in quality to a ton of peoples' lives. All the best with whatever comes next for the both of you, please keep us posted!
  8. Criminey, It's Christmas (2015-)!

So what's the deal with all the Christmas threads?
  9. Far Cry PRIMAL

    I'm already pre-offended!
  10. Expensive either way. Especially if the cost of licensing goes up. Oooh, just imagine if they changed the license fee payment currency from dollars to retail Xbox Ones. The audacity of it.
  11. No need to make it exclusive when competing companies would rather develop their own technology than pay for a rival's (not to mention all the data gathering that Cloud Computing would no doubt involve.)
  12. Half-Life 3

Quite. Surely at this point, for a game of that standing to not be a VR game either natively or through community modification, it'd have to be released only when VR has become obselete. Unless he's saying that HL3 is already out? Frog Fractions?
  13. Game Jams

Was just checking out the amazing Duplicade entries on Itch and thought it would be fun to peek in here and see what the chatter was. This is very pleasing! Well done, well done!
  14. General Video Game Deals Thread

This week's Humble Weekly Bundle Fantastic Arcade is good if you like a certain style of independently produced video game. $1+ is DRM free Hellmouth (Other work: ) Alea ( ) Hoky (Fold, Nuclear Throne) Risky Bison (Envirobear 2010 and Desert Golfing) Crap! No-one Love Me (IGF Student Showcase winner Zineth) Wheels of Aurelia (Fotonica and MirrorMoon EP) Alea and Wheels of Aurelia have promised Steam keys if they get a pass from Greenlight $8+ tier for Steam games FEZ, Hotline Miami, Luftrausers, No Brakes Valet, MirrorMoon EP, FRACT OSC. All Steam and DRM-free apart from No Brakes Valet which is Android and DRM-free. Anyway, I got it mainly for Wheels of Aurelia, but the rest of the Fantastic Arcade lower tier made the purch a whoooole lot easier.
  15. Movie/TV recommendations

    Mockngjay 2 trailer, you guys. Feelings. F E E L S.
  16. Buying a New PC

Definitely pop into Novatech if they are close by and anywhere close to as good as they were a few years ago. Also ask which of their computers are free of conflict minerals?
  17. It's all about planning for the sales, isn't it?
  18. Mad Max

I'm loving your Mad Max game diaries, Erkki!
  19. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

    Very scummy!
  20. Other podcasts

Thanks namman, these are all great!
  21. "Ethics and Journalistic Integrity"

    Is that net or gross?
  22. Meow.

Birds? Birds. Did you hear birds? Birds.
  23. Intoxicated:

The cocktail name 'Manhattan' is too close to the wrestling term 'Manhattan Drop' for me to think about drinking one without anticipating an experience of great discomfort and pain afterwards. Or to imagine being dropped onto my butt-bone by a New York tower block at night.
  24. Yeah, it's not exactly uncommon practice on Steam. Company of Heroes 2 (SEGA) offered Dawn of War II: Retribution at the 2nd of 3 tiers. One of the incentives for collective pre-orders of Tomb Raider (Eidos / Square Enix) was Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Defiance (Trion Worlds) put Rift: Storm Legion in its second tier. Lost Planet 3 (Capcom) had Lost Planet: Extreme Condition AND Bionic Commando Rearmed. Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar / Take Two) had GTA: San Andreas as a tier 1 unlock. The tier 2 unlock for Grid 2 (Codemasters) was the first Grid. Bandai Namco has Tales of Zestiria on pre-order right now, the tier 3 unlock is for Tales of Symphonia. Compared to these other pre-order plans, which didn't suffer major backlash, one could argue that if DE:MD's third tier was for DE:HR and DE1 they would have been alright? Right?
