  1. Recommendations for non-fantasy Western RPGs

One of my all time favorites \o/ Actually, it's Quake 2+ graphics, it has colored lights. And yes, the battle is a bit like Final Fantasy, bust much less tedious. You could try Freedom Force, I never managed to play either game for a long time. It's more action oriented than story. Not sure if Jade Empire qualifies as non-fantasy. It's like KOTOR but set in the far-east. And there is On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, high recommended. I cannot recommend Space Siege, it's not really an RPG it's more like a top down shooter like Shadow Grounds. And just like Shadow Grounds it's playable, but not really good. It's fun as a budget title.
  2. He, there is an interview with Dan That on game a sutra: http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=25568

The movie is based on the book Who Censored Roger Rabbit?
  10. Epic Disney on GameInformer

That's mainly because Disney bought the movie rights to the book. You wouldn't call "Dead Poets Society" or "The Royal Tenenbaums" a Dinsey movie, right? Amblin is listed as the main production company for Roger Rabbit.

That reminds me of that award winning episode of Red Dwarf. Didn't have a SM ninja though. Yep.. that's pretty normal. What amazed me was that most of the people in the cinema fell for it every time. And after that they of course that to talk about how they didn't expect it... every time...
  12. just because it's free doesn't mean there shouldn't be a torrent, there are also torrents for firefox

That's because you have a context (i.e. "now"). But once that context changes it can result is issues. A nice example would be the following sign in a bar: "Free Beer Tomorrow". Relative times work well when spoken, but they don't work well when written down.

"Who Framed Roger Rabbit" is barely a Disney creation.

YYYY-MM-DD without the YYYY is MM-DD, thus much like you would read it aloud. Reading has a lot to do with recognizing groups of glyphs. When you see something like YYYY-MM-DD you would instantly recognize it as a date, and therefor you could easily skip the YYYY "prefix" and continue with the MM-DD. Of course it's a matter of getting used to the format, but it really makes things easier. It will be quite easy to find a date on a page of text

"October 11th" isn't useful to determine age, October 1990 is. The day loses usefulness quickly when the difference in time increases. as for processing it: 1990 -> I know it about something about 19 years ago 10 -> ah.. somewhere in October, 19 years ago 11 -> ok... so it's the 11th of October 19 years ago anyway... as I said earlier, I prefer using YYYY-MM-DD because it is less confusing (and it's also complete, I never use YY, always YYYY)

The year is the least important? since when? It's absolutely the most significant.

I liked Drag me to Hell a lot. It was a proper 80s style horror movie, which I like a lot. I don't really recall goo... Anyway, I enjoyed that movie much more than the average modern day horror movie.

if only there was a world without disney
  20. You said "Piracy is happening, probably at a 'typical' rate", but it doesn't look like it. So... you guys are not doing a good job at getting "pirated".
  21. Considering there's no torrent for TGP, you must be doing poorly . ps, are you aware that there was a British sitcom called "Time Gentlemen Please"?
