Just saw Dredd. I think Dredd and the city was better in the first movie. This Dredd wasn't as bad ass as I remember him from the comics. The city in the new Dredd was boring. The new Dredd on the other hand was more raw action, and less comedy. The thing that annoyed me the most of the new Dredd is the VFX porn, especially the 3D and slow motion crap. Also: what happened to the awesome bikes of the judges? Why is Dredd such a fuck up, he didn't get a bullet refil from the first judge?

NASA is known for using ancient technology. This is for various reasons, the most important being: it takes a seriously long time to find flaws of technology under less than standard environments. And obviously, they test the shit out of it to find as much flaws as possible. Nothing sucks more than figuring out that 100+100 = 199 when remperature gets close to absolute zero.

Just completed this game I finished with low chaos, and hardly killed anyone. I was forced to kill because for the non-lethal quest giver became hostile after I returned from his side quest. I didn't know that areas could be neutral/friendly, and that it also meant that thugs were not hostile. I guess it was magic that this guy found out I was the guy that put his minions to sleep. At some point I adopted a single play style and use that to complete the game. So I mostly stuck to strangling people and remaining unseen. So I never used some of the weapons. I used the gun once for a duel and those weird plants. The crossbow I used more often, mostly sleeping darts. And I pretty much only used blink and that see-through-walls things. So my inventory was really stocked the whole time. I did try to get all runes and bone thingies. But on one map I apparently missed one, and due to the hostile thug boss I missed another one in the 3rd mission. It took me about 20 hours to complete the game, I think I did all but one side mission. But given that I didn't get he granny cheevo, I missed another one. Anyway, I had a lot of fun. Not sure if it's my GOTY, but it is in the top 3.

I wrapped up my Minecraft adventure by watching 2 Player Productions' Minecraft documentary: http://www.theminecraftmovie.com/ It's really amazing, the story of Minecraft that is. It's great to hear industry vets (various industry press people, but also Molyneux and Shafer) talk about how world shattering Minecraft has been. And yet, we're here 2 years after the Minecraft tornado hit town, and not much has changed in the publisher world. Sure, there has been a shift in other places (i.e. kickerstarts, big names going indie), but not a lot in the EA/Activitsion/Ubisoft/etc world.

Is it just me or does that GTA5V image remind you of the last season of Dexter? The cop looks like Dexter's sister, and the other women looks like Dexter's latest girldfriend

Hint: put your TV in "Game" or "Computer" mode. That mode usually has the least input lag. Anyway, I don't know how much I will like the game, so there is a risk I cannot slow down to 1 chapter per 2 weeks. But let's start with 1 for the first two weeks, we could always change the pacing, right?
