Is anyone else strangely excited for the new Wolfenstein game?
Nappi replied to Architecture's topic in Video Gaming
Yeah, I'm not seeing it either. Maybe if the jacket had some peculiar feature that was also visible on the nazi's skin, I would have believed that, but as it is, I find it very hard to believe this was the developer's intention. -
Help me forget about Olly Moss and move on with my life
Nappi replied to melmer's topic in Idle Banter
Does Olly still play Day Z? It seems like a perfect environment to make new friends. That said, you should not try to make friends with Sean, though. He will make you kill people just to show that you are trustworthy, then execute you anyway. -
- Someone that moves about restlessly and/or gets in your way: "He/she moves around [or rotates] like a lingonberry in a pussy." (Hän pyörii kuin puolukka pillussa.) - Very easy: "Easy as beating a child." (Helppoa kuin lapsen lyöminen.) - To disappear completely: "To vanish like a fart in the Sahara desert." (Kadota kuin pieru Saharaan.) - Completely wasted: "Asses on one's shoulders" (Perseet olalle.) - Something that is futile/bound to fail: "Won't result in a baby or a shit." (Ei tule lasta eikä paskaa.) Yey, Finnish language! Edit: Now also in Finnish.

Good to know, thanks! I feel like with these types of games, I should always read some character creation and tactics guides before I even begin. I don't want that though, I just want to play.

I've been wanting to play something like Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale* for some time now, but I was worried that I wouldn't be able to look past the outdated graphics and gameplay mechanics. Divinity: Original Sin seems like a perfect alternative for me. I have only played a couple of hours (just encountered the time-and-space imp) but I am really liking it so far. However, I do feel like this game could be quite overwhelming with all the skill trees and mechanics and whatnots. I hope I haven't completely fucked up already by choosing the wrong characters, abilities, attributes, and talents during character creation. Also, basically every review points out that the combat is brutally hard and there is no grinding as the enemies do not respawn. Does that mean that if your party is not well "optimized" you will be fucked for the entirety of the game or is there enough side missions to level past main mission enemies? * I bought Baldur's Gate 2 when it first came out but I didn't play it much for some reason. It was probably too hard or complicated for me or something.

Read the first section of the article and had to stop, because I didn't want to ruin my ok day thinking about that. I'll have to read the rest some other time. Jesus, that is so fucking gross.

Quantized Roguelike Chess Dancing: Crypt of the Necrodancer
Nappi replied to Golden Calf's topic in Video Gaming
Twerking ghosts! This looks quite interesting actually. -
Hmmm.. I'm a big Nick Cave fan but somehow I have missed 20,000 Days on Earth completely. Looks very interesting: http://www.20000daysonearth.com/ I hope it will find its way to Finnish theaters as well.

Great cast once again! Those dreams... Jesus. Also, yay for suggested continuation of Idle Streams! -
Help me forget about Olly Moss and move on with my life
Nappi replied to melmer's topic in Idle Banter
I think you should make a poster that says "Olly Moss" but the negative space between the letters actually spells out "Be my friend". Shouldn't be too hard. -
Idle Thumbs 166: Cyberpunk Cop-Killer
Nappi replied to Chris's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
That's pretty much the extent of my Harry Potter knowledge as well. Excellent episode! Danielle's accent is so gorgeous that it should be one of the t-shirt options at Idle Store. -
That game was bizarre and amazing. I actually very nearly caught the game in a Brazilian restaurant in Ljubljana where some 30 minutes before the game a group of German fans barged in and said something along the lines "Oh god, this is a Brazilian restaurant!" before deciding to stay and watch the match. Both sides were jokey about the situation and seemed to get along very well, but I'm still glad that we decided to watch the game elsewhere*, because I can't imagine the atmosphere being anything but awkward after a massacre like that. * After (but not too soon after) the owner had given us green and yellow shiny fedoras.

That is fantastic! Count me in funding the print.

Yup. They made it available in retail for "those customers who wish to purchase it." Which sounds an attempt to shift responsibility (or whatever) simply by explaining how retail system works.

If that was sitting next to that Dead Island bikini torso thing*, you would probably consider the Pagan Min statue downright elegant. * Oh god, they actually shipped that monstrosity.

This very thread even.

Yeah, I loved that story! Nick is weird.

Yey, Danielle! Fuck, Yey, Nick! I love how the podcast starts with the question of has anyone played video games in the past week and others being surprised and delighted when someone actually has.

Idle Thumbs 164: The Seed of a Sneeze
Nappi replied to Chris's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Only managed to listen to the episode now: "And I'm Danielle Riendeau" = -
They did not. You just confused pink with purple before. I have managed to restrain myself quite well in this sale so far. Most likely because I have already bought most games I am interested in during the previous sales.

Fixed.

The Last Guardian is not cancelled. I think the official status is "It's complicated". Also, Vane looks sweeet!

Yeah, now that I think about it, I also bought the PC version directly from Double Fine, and was surprised when the game (or just the PC version) was reviewed some year later in the local game magazine.
