  1. [RELEASED] The Convergence Compulsion

The controls feel really natural and the gameplay mechanics are pretty fun. Rings may not be the best way to visualize throwing arc when viewed from the first person perspective. That is a very minor complaint, though.
  2. [Released] Our Weird Monstrosity

I love the simple paint-ish graphics and especially the vibrating outlines! The character editor works very nicely as well.
  3. [RELEASED] In Space

I'm looking forward to seeing how this progresses. I played with it a bit, and it seems that not all of my mouse clicks are registered. Is this intentional (e.g. some sort of cooldown for item placement) or a glitch.
  4. [RELEASED] A Wish Upon A Star

I loved the beginning of the game - very cinematic! I like the small touches like the shaking UI as well.
  5. [Released] Buried Treasure

I like the minimalistic visuals a lot and the ending was extremely good. I disabled the blur. I think it could be used to enhance the visuals somehow, but right now, it is a bit too much.
  6. I love the visual style and the music! The start screen was very clever as well*. I had some difficulties with the controls as well, but I think I will try this again some time with a gamepad. * I was definitely not about to report that the credits are cut by the edge of the screen
  7. [Released] Betrayal and Manipulation

I like the gameplay a lot! The art direction fits well with the game too. It took me a turn (of failing) to realize what I was supposed to do, but after that, the goal was clear enough. I also wished there was an undo button and a bit better indication of how my actions affect the board, but the game is very enjoyable as it is too.
  8. [Released] Stream Frasier Online Free

I watched a fair bit of Frasier when I was younger, and it was really interesting to see how much the randomly generated sentences resembled the characters despite often being complete nonsense. It really felt like the dozing in front of the TV while the show was on. The decision to mix things up a little after a while was a good one too. Overall, a hilarious concept and good execution!
  9. The concept is really clever and seems to work well too. I also think that this could make a nice mobile game once polished a bit. I too found it hard to make words that are longer than 3 or 4 letters, which is fine, but nailing those longer words just feels so satisfying. I don't know how to improve the situation, though, maybe some blank/joker letters or something.
  10. [Released-ish] The Fresno Experiment

Good work with the visuals! The fog makes the environment feel really eerie.
  11. [dev log] A Wish Upon A Star

Very nice job! The game is absolutely gorgeous and the gameplay is fun! Feels like a finished package. I agree with SharedControl that some of the levels could be a bit tighter. At the moment, trying out different solutions can take quite many clicks and feel like a bit of a chore. This is a very minor complaint though.
  12. [Released] häx_processer

Thanks! There is a tab autocomplete, and up selects the previous command. I'm beginning to realize that I should have given some instructions (at least on the itch.io page).
  13. [Released] häx_processer

Thanks y'all! pdotjpg: I selected the shapes so that they could be matched with the target shape exactly, but in some cases it will be very tricky in practice, since you have to to figure out the correct enhance level or move non-integer units to some direction. I was also debating with myself whether to have the grid or not, but decided to leave it out, because I get a weird satisfaction from using multiple commands to gradually move closer to the target. The axis indicator in the guide that you can toggle actually tells you the length of one unit of movement, but no one will probably figure that out on their own. The movement should not be affected by enhance level or rotation but I will check if there is a bug somewhere. Henke: Yeah, the enhance command is not self-explanatory. I may work on clearing that up a bit when I have the energy to get back to it.
  14. [Released] häx_processer

Thanks for playing! brendonsmall: Good points. I meant to add the "Done." text but I ran out of time and energy. Also, oops, I was totally supposed to do some basic validity checking with the inputs, but simply forgot to.
  15. [Released] häx_processer

häx_processer is now released! https://ktomi.itch.io/hax-processer I was not able to make as much progress as I would have liked to, because I was pretty burned out with work stuff. Nevertheless, the game is functional and there are 10+ levels.
  16. [Released] häx_processer

Haha! I'm experiencing pretty serious Jam fatigue and haven't been able to progress the game much after work. Fortunately, most of the basic elements are there already, and I think I will find the motivation again during the long weekend. Anyway, here is the the basic gameplay loop with title screen and some of the audio (which may not be final):
  17. [RELEASED] The Octopus Affair

I like the octopus animation and that aquarium is mesmerizing!
  18. [Dev Log] Mystery of the Ravens

Incredible work with those animations! That animation graph looks daunting.
  19. [Released] häx_processer

Thanks! I have had even less time to work on the game than I anticipated but I managed to make some real progress today: Yet to be implemented: - Title screen - Polygon naming and movement unit indicator - More levels - Different moveset for each level - Movement constraints - Proper sound effects - End of level animation - Up to select text - Continuous movement/rotation - And so on...
  20. Jeff is a very good interviewer and the Kessler statement was pretty hilarious: https://www.giantbomb.com/videos/nite-three-at-e3-2018-dave-lang-adam-boyes-and-joh/2300-13400/ (About 17:15 onwards)
  21. Good progress! I like the raised block look a lot. I was trying to imagine how I would select the worlds, and I think I would try to go through the center area of each block I want to select but wouldn't be super careful when moving diagonally. Therefore I think I would prefer a smaller collider at the center. Can you erase the selection by going back to the previous block? Because that would reduce the potential frustration quite a bit.
  22. E3 2018

I'm excited to play Cyberpunk 2077 and Beyond Good and Evil 2, and to watch a playthrough of Death Stranding in about 5 years. I hope Ghost of Tsushima will turn out good because the game is beautiful and the one-hit sword kills look really satisfying. Despite enjoying the latest Assassin's Creed more than the few previous ones, I think I may skip the upcoming one. It seems to be identical to the Egyptian one, and I already felt bored by the end of that game. I wish Nintendo had spent a little more time on the Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I felt that I did not hear about every tweak they made to the gameplay compared with the previous games.
  23. [RELEASED] The Convergence Compulsion

Good work! The throwing arc looks pretty natural to me. A flat plane combined with the default skybox of Unity and gif compression is an aesthetic that I have seen quite a lot lately. I kinda like it.
  24. [Dev Log] Mystery of the Ravens

    Love that raven!
