Dark Souls 3: A New Hope

I did notice that the roller was a waste of space in the ranked matches. It's a complete dead weight. WHY DO I SUCK SO MUCH WITH THE CHARGER?! I love the idea of hiding and sniping, but I can't hit a thing with that goddamn gun.

The internet is the best and most varied cookbook out there. If you hate looking at your phone, do it on your PC, then print it off and make a folder. Or write it down if you don't want to waste printer ink. I've had plenty of people buy me cookbooks and they all just sit on a shelf in my office. I use them once or twice then go back to google.

I played two ranked matches. One my team got zero points. The next, my team got 100 points. I don't know if I'm good or terrible.

That's good to know. I've got to the point in the game where killin' monsters is a thing I'm ok at. I understand how to do it and can beat everything if I concentrate enough. There's still loads I'm missing though and that's exciting. I was also in for a shock when I didn't get supplies for my first High Rank quest. I never bothered to carry in food because 3 rations were plenty!

Or just leave it plugged in. The wire is long, and it doesn't have to be from the TV since it goes into an outlet.

The voice chat isn't needed when you can simply look down at the game pad. Oh! oh! Also, the game pad is fantastic in splatoon. If someone on your team has the echo locator, it's even more fantastic. I still want 2 player online though. That'd just make my year. 2015 has 4 GOTY contenders and it's only June. What a year for video_games.

It's when I switch to the low rank quests, there's an urgent quest available that I can't access. Ah, I was worried about the multiplayer progression. Is there any indication when I'll need to start doing the multiplayer?

I love the sucker bomb! I've baited so many people into its explosion. Also, Ninja squid perk is the best perk. You can just swim behind props in the middle of an ink fight and just shoot them in the back. Also, the sniper rifle is too hard. I suck with it.

So I just got to high rank quests, and it seems to have locked me out of urgent low ranked stuff. Should I have finished those urgent before moving on?

Wait...you can respec!?

The weapon balance feels pretty good to me, I've been seeing some people absolutely dominate with the roller. Hiding, popping out to kill then covering huge swathes of ground fast. The .52 and .95 feel ok, but they fire a little too slow for my tastes, plus I don't like their sub/special. The only map I actively dislike is the skate park. It's hard to tell which parts count as floors, and which count as walls. The rig is a great map. There are 2 areas that need controlling - the square at the top and the rectangle at the bottom. I've had some great matches where I just make it my mission to hold the bottom rectangle. I then push out if it's not under attack, but come back immediately if someone is after it. It gives my team room to hold the top square, and I can easily super jump over if it looks like things are going badly.

Strangely we didn't get matched into the same team both times. I like that Nintendo are actively discouraging people premaking teams and going up against ransoms. That'd lead to a bunch of steam rolls, despite how fun it'd be to do. I really really like the bazooka. You can snipe people from across the map with it and it's a great offensive panic button. The only super I don't like is the killer wail. I never seem to get anyone with it.

Do You Have a Preferred Perspective for Games?

I feel vertigo with first person which is just really cool. -
Weird, it was probably my girlfriend playing - she tends I quit every few minutes lol. I ended up using the splattershot with the delay grenade that sticks to surfaces and the bazooka. It's a great combo.

I am totally in love with Splatoon. It just feels great to play. I disagree on the voice chat front though. I don't need it, but there is plenty of time to coordinate areas of attack, especially when moving around is so rapid. I feel like a well coordinated team would dominate. The weapons. I'm in love with the shot gun it fits my play style of hit and run perfectly. The .92 is pretty good too. Does anyone know what causes the stages to swap? I really wish they used the full pool of stages rather than 2 at a time.

I've had no problem finding blacksmiths. They've even made me unique armor and swords. Just go to the city if you're after armor, and I think there's a black smith in like 75% of the small hamlets.

Good game is good. Man I can't wait to dig more into this. I have a feeling it's going to last me a few months. I'm a bit worried about the leveling though. I'm strong enough to go check out another area, but there's loads of stuff left for me to do. Not sure if I should move on then come back, or try to finish up Valen (?) before I go the the next place.

Not being a fan of the series, I always assumed it was Dr. Robot Nick.

Yes, I might need reminding though:

I'm disappointed it's not called the Eurovision Drinking Contest.

I have an important question about a quest line in the swamp.

Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

So why do I hate pretty much every JRPG except for Pokémon? Did I just spoil myself by playing the best before I touched the rest? -
Make sure to add everyone on the WiiU ID exchange thread. I intend to play the shit out of Splatoon this weekend, and it might be fun to get a couple of pre-made groups going with skype chat.

Are pokémon games JRPGs? They're RPGs from J(apan), but they occupy a completely separate space in my head.
