I ended up beating that one level! I had to do it twice. The first time I got all the stars, but mis-timed my jump onto the flagpole. I did the last Captain Toad stage, so I guess all that's left to do now is that thirty-star Mystery House (fuuuuuuck that) and the real actual final level. Dunno if I'll go whole hog and finish every level with every character or not, though I did finish every level from the first world and then some with every character.

It was the first Dark/Ghost type and therefore had no weaknesses. Now there's a second Dark/Ghost (Spiritomb) plus that type combination is now weak to Fairy.

I choose to believe that the Blizzard in-house band performs nothing but Rhapsody covers.

I addition to the big E3 trailer from the other day, Nintendo also quietly announced Mega Sableye through a trailer. It's supposed to be a defense-focused Sableye. Weird. I guess they kind of owe it to Sableye now that its gimmick is gone.

I hope they include something to do with , the autoscrolling Adventure Game where you control a slingshot and try to manipulate an asshole Pac-Man instead of controlling him directly.

I know, right? Even as someone who 100%ed absolutely everything in Super Mario 3D Land including beating the whole game again with Luigi, I'm not willing to put up with that bullshit.

I think I'm done with Super Mario 3D World. That game gets so frustratingly bullshit hard at the end. I beat every level except for , and got the gold flagpole and all green stars for each. To unlock the final world, I'd have to do it again with every character. Fuck that.

The only Wii U game I know of that can't be bought digitally (anymore) is Nintendo Land, which is a budget game now anyway.

The gamepad alone should be fine; but I personally really, really like the Pro Controller. It's totally worth it if you do decide to get it. Side note: I realized last night that I haven't had to charge my Pro Controller since November.

Bayonetta's always had super weird proportions that make her much taller and thinner than a real person, while the Varia suit has weird proportions that make it far wider than a real person. I like that the enemy being fought is basically that thing from The Incredibles. Someone asked Aonuma why Link looked so different and he responded by saying that it's not necessarily Link in the trailer. I'm thinking this is the character customization that they mentioned wanting to do way, way back when they first announced that they were making a Wii U Zelda.

So the real question on my mind is: why wasn't this the "one more thing" at the end of Nintendo's presentation? Pac-Man is a much bigger reveal than Palutena.

By the way guys, keep in mind that you'll almost certainly be able to play this on the totally affordable and kind of awesome looking Playstation TV if you want to play it on a console but don't want a PS4.

Man, the one big disappointment this year besides Vib Ribbon was the lack of Metroid. Or rather, the presence of Metroid without an actual Metroid. Similar: Zelda Williams appeared in a celebrity match during the Smash tournament ...carrying Majora's Mask.

So on top of Miis and Palutena being confirmed today, we got an actually pretty cool Smash tourney at E3 hosted by Geoff Keighley in a rare instance of him actually looking excited to be at a gaming event, plus a Smash roundtable going on right now where Pac-Man and Mr. Game & Watch were both confirmed.
