I thought the focus on replayability was an odd choice for the Thumbs. There's lots of media that I enjoy in part because I get more out of it on subsequent readings/viewings/listenings/playthroughs, but I feel like that's something I would consider being parallel to and not integral to the quality of the material. My favourite games are often the ones that can tell a satisfying complete narrative in one sitting. -

When devising a "television canon," how would one handle ridiculous long-runners where a person couldn't possibly be expected to watch or enjoy all of it? Think Saturday Night Live or Sesame Street.

aaaaa I wanna battle Pokémon with someone aaaaa I have a shiny Charizard now! That's 14 perfect/near-perfect shinies that I've bred. I have no idea which one to go for next. On a related note, does anyone want a Charmander? It took 750 eggs to get that shiny and I still have most of them left. They're all Modest with at least five perfect stats, guaranteed. ...dino I cooked up in that lab...

Protip: if you're gonna get really into breeding; you'll want the Destiny Knot, which is sometimes handed over by the Young Couple on Sea Mauville after a rematch; and the Everstone, which is in Granite Cave (and also sometimes held by wild Geodude, Graveler, Roggenrola, and Boldore).

I raised my new shiny Gallade to Level 100 and gave it the perfect moveset for catching things (Heal Pulse, Hypnosis, False Swipe, and Swords Dance). Now to start soft-resetting for shiny legendaries!

That's the DSi one from a while back, ported to PC this year. The new one is Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, which fixes a ton of problems with the previous two games.

I got my Oval and Shiny Charms and bred my first shiny of ORAS! It's a pentaperfect Gallade I'll be using to catch alla dem legendaries (Heal Pulse/Hypnosis/False Swipe/Swords Dance). I'm gonna try soft resetting for shiny legendaries, because I'm an idiot.
