I hear you can rewind time in that game.

I dunno if it counts because it was the way I originally played the game, but I deliberately kept my character at level 1 throughout the entirety of The World Ends With You. That game puts your character level on a slider whose maximum value increases as you gain experience. You get better drops at lower levels, so I just kept it at the minimum the entire time.

The framerate is the same, sadly, and apparently the new 3DS doesn't do anything to fix it. I'd say "maybe they'll patch it," but they didn't even patch X/Y to let them use the new Mega Stones, so...

There was the bit about "the mouthfeel," but I don't remember when that was.

I wish I listened to more podcasts. It's pretty much just Thumbs and the Bombcast for me at the moment. I don't know why, but I've gradually dropped every other podcast I've enjoyed: Retronauts, No More Whoppers, Tinycast (in this case I think the terrible audio quality finally got to me). Most recently I tried to get into Isometric last month, but Brianna Wu went on a fairly lengthy rant about Nintendo composed of a lot of details that were just straight-up wrong. I try not to defend a lot of Nintendo's more bullshit policies, but that was irritating enough to be a deal-breaker for me.

Last night I came up with the absolute most perfect possible name for a followup to Kindness Coins, but Arden's tumblr askbox just 404's so I can't send it to her. It's killing me.

I handed out some resumes today; I came this close to landing a job at the Art Shack, but they need someone bilingual. Comic Hunter isn't hiring anytime soon, but they need volunteers next month to help them move, so I might do that. Chapters told me to apply online so I'll do that this weekend. Feels good to do something at least. Oh, and I made $55 USD for three commissions. It would be nice if this stayed sustainable.

On the subject of the R word, I personally don't use it because I don't particularly enjoy hurting people. Just the same, I feel like I'm just treating the symptom and not the disease. It's weird to look back at now, but when I was a little kid, it was considered the "opinionated in a way that is different from me" term to use until it was adopted by kids my age as an insult. Then the same thing happened to "special" as in "special needs." If you go back further, words like "imbecile," "idiot," and "moron" used to be valid medical terms. I feel like there should be more effort to change public perception of people with learning disabilities.

I had a dream last night, and the only things I remember are: 1) this awesome library that included stuff like leatherbound volumes of an unfinished version of Osamu Tezuka's Vampires (one huuuuuge red volume and one much smaller dark grey volume, both with loads of supplemental meterial inside) and, inexplicably, a ten-volume set of leatherbound Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff comics attributed to KC Green (on the understanding that he had apparently taken over SBAHJ for decades after the death of Andrew Hussie) 2) being trapped in a giant indoor mall with thousands of other people 3) meeting Patrick Klepek in said mall and showing him the series thirteen minifigs that can be used to make an accurate Lego version of himself (the face, the hair, and everything else)
