I am a usability consultant and we have been working with a government client to design and test an early childhood website and menu structure. One of the menu items in the 'For Parents' area is "Babies & early childhood" and every time someone said it out loud I heard it in Sean's voice. It didn't matter that they were a young Australian mum or a middle aged, kindly childcare worker. I heard 'Hot scoops' Vanaman dripping with contempt. This is making my job very difficult.

But what is Steve Vanaman's feeling on baby games?

I thought of that, but Twig was so adamant in his correction I didn't have the heart to not give him the satisfaction of a virtual head slap.

I kicked in for this one based on a bit of nostalgia, I did love the original Syndicate, and the fact that they are based in my home city and I want to support local. As a gamer that's not something I get to do often beyond Halfbrick these days.

Oh so right! Damn.

I have to recommend Lords of Waterdeep. Played it twice now and had a blast. Neat worker placement game with heavy D&D theme. Good fun. Plays in about an 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on number of players and group. Allows for big comebacks and sneaky wins at the end.
