I kicked in for this one based on a bit of nostalgia, I did love the original Syndicate, and the fact that they are based in my home city and I want to support local. As a gamer that's not something I get to do often beyond Halfbrick these days.

I have to recommend Lords of Waterdeep. Played it twice now and had a blast. Neat worker placement game with heavy D&D theme. Good fun. Plays in about an 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on number of players and group. Allows for big comebacks and sneaky wins at the end.

It didn't matter that they were a young Australian mum or a middle aged, kindly childcare worker. I heard 'Hot scoops' Vanaman dripping with contempt. This is making my job very difficult.
