Windows version (and demo) are out now: http://www.nicalis.com/games-2/nightsky/

Played the demo, I kind of like it, but the progression feels sort of random. "Powers come and go" is annoying, I'd much rather have one section with one kind of powers and another with other powers.

I think it's by the same guy who made Saira and previously those cute games that's names I can't remember? yeah, it's by "Nifflas" who made Knytt, Saira and other games. I can see the similarity, and I think there was similar randomness there.

I bought this on impulse the last day before the price went up (there was an introductory price at $7.50 or so for a while). I really like it. I can understand the objections to powers coming and going, but I think the way it's been done serves to mix things up and helps to lend some variety to (within) the levels.

I downloaded the demo last week immediately when it was released, haven't had the time to test it yet. Nifflas' games are pretty sweet usually. Knytt Stories is the game I've played a lot. Saira I have not played that much actually.

I bought it too. Some really clever puzzles in the Alternate mode. And I like the various machines.

PS. I've noticed Estonian words occasionally in Nifflas' games. For example the "Ranna Caverns" level. It takes place in beach/caverns and 'ranna' is the possessive form of 'rand' which means beach. I wonder if he uses words from other languages like that as well. Or could be just coincidence.

It will take quite some time before the Wiiware version even comes out. Nicalis propably releases it first in US and then a year later in Europe as usual.

But if I like the demo, which I have not yet played (:getmecoat), I'll get the PC version.

Actually, that was an understatement. Now that I've completed it in both modes, I'm amazed by how many different cool physics puzzles this game managed to provide. Really, this game deserves some kind of award for that.

But then, many of the screens that seemed complex, were passable just by holding down a key or two. Not that that was entirely bad, as you don't usually discover it the first time you play and it makes it easier to pass when you fail in a later screen in the same level.
