Tanukitsune Posted June 13, 2010 She makes casual games now! It makes sense.... The last time I heard of her was when she made BeTrapped! A casual puzzle game with a nice mystery story to it... But according to her blog she's still working on Grey Matter... which is becoming the Duke Nukem Forever of adventure games.... I'm going to try one of her newer ones now... It's on sale at Big Fish Games for today only!
lobotomy42 Posted June 14, 2010 Dude, they had a big interview with her at adventuregamers.com a few months ago. And she's done some other interviews lately, too. Also, she has a sparsely updated blog: http://blog.graymatter-game.com/ And, yeah, Gray Matter seems to be really, actually, definitely coming out this year, finally. I don't think it's been *quite* as bad as DNF... I've also heard good things about the Women's Murder Club series.
Tanukitsune Posted June 14, 2010 I've seen some of the interviews, but they don't talk that much about the games she's worked on lately... The casual sites only mention the casual games she made and forget about her adventure games and the mainstream site don't really delve on what she does? Kolzig Posted June 15, 2010 I hope Gray Matter actually would come out this year, but not during Christmas. It will get buried under the big games. I was looking at some screenshots a few weeks ago, there was significant difference between the older artwork and the new. You could clearly see that they have actually advanced a lot with the project. Wasn't the developer also changed at one point?

I'm pretty sure Jensen has been the only constant on the project. As for it getting buried during the holidays - do adventure games really compete with "big" titles anymore? It seems like they exist in a separate market these days.
Kolzig Posted June 15, 2010 Yeah, the market for adventure games is quite small, except for Telltale games? But at least on my personal Christmas schedule the game would get buried under a lot of other stuff, there usually is a lot of other stuff that I have going on around Christmas. syntheticgerbil Posted June 15, 2010 I knew she was churning out the casual games. I mean to play them one day, but I have yet to buy anything beyond Betrapped. Truthfully they all look sort of boring. Grey Matter is starting to become a farce in my mind. A development cycle this long can't be good.
brkl Posted June 15, 2010 To be fair, they were involved in the Bad Brain disaster, and they couldn't how the publisher was so full of air. That must have set development back.
