Looks pretty nice. Certainly better than the default skin.

I hadn't even paid attention that I could use custom skins on Steam. I guess I was aware of it at some point but didn't bother with it back then and just forgot about it.

I'd have to say that it looks a lot better "for real" than in the preview -- not exactly sure how, but it does!

I didn't know you could skin steam? Cool stuff! Gonna try it out right away. Apparently I've got a dark messiah skin as well.

Hack? You mean dropping it into the "skins" folder and selecting it from the skins menu from within Steam?

I just installed Steam on a new computer and got to see the default interface again... It LITERALLY makes me feel ill -- I don't know how people use it. Obviously I'm extremely sensitive to it, but still... It's horrible. (I'm so glad I made this thread with a handy link )

I have a question for everyone: What Steam skin do you use? Are you mostly using one of the defaults?

Not to dredge up all my old hate and loathing for Steam, but I will laugh and laugh and never stop the day a Steam user loses his collection of hundreds of precious games because he wanted Steam to look like it was not shat out of Satans arse.

I love that when you maximise Steam, it has the AI to know that what you really wanted to do was resize the window to the size of your screen.

edit: I love all the latest LucasArts offerings on Steam, and I've bought several. I also enjoy Valve's Left 4 Dead on Steam.
