I'm posting this here in case some of you are ignoring the Multiplayer Networking sub-forum (I know I did for a while), and would like to partake in a casual couple of hours of driving and shooting once in a while. We've done seven sessions last year and they've been awesome. We've usually been about four people, but more of you should join. All you need is:

  • An Xbox 360
  • An Xbox Live Gold membership
  • A copy of GTA IV
  • A fucking pair of balls

We're considering which days are good for the most people in this thread here, so if any of you who haven't yet done this, but would like to, now's the time to let us know which days are best for you. It's totally non-binding: if you can't make it, no problem. Those who can show up, do, and we take it from there. So go buy yourself whatever it is you're lacking from the above bullet-list (a used copy of GTA IV should be available for cheap by now, right?) and come play! Also, if anyone would like to arrange this for other games (Little BIG Planet, anyone?) that would be awesome. It's just a matter of starting a thread. The hard part is coming up with sufficiently hilarious titles.

Anyone thinking, do it!

If you got rid of GTA IV already, go get a second hand copy. Multiplayer with fellow thumbs on xbox live is excellent, mainly because it involves being in a car full of people, all screaming as you jump it off the freeway, or "Reverse REVERSE REVERSE!" as a rocket zooms towards the windscreen, or "OH MY GOD TOBLIX HAS A CAR!" just after he's run them over. He ran someone over using a helicopter in the same game :)

Also, there may be a Pokécast if you're early, with reviews of the latest Pokémon games, cards, meals, etc.

Yeah. Based on you rambling chatter I got my sister Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time for Christmas. She's never touched (or showed an interest in) an "advanced" game in her life, enjoying stuff like dress-up flash games, but suddenly she's all making sure to pick up Oran berries, putting all her cash in the bank, opening with ranged attacks before the enemy gets close, shit like that. This pleases me to no end. I introduced her to Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, and she handled that pretty well too, although the timing aspect of the combat was challenging, which I can understand.

I remember the original Superstar Saga being one of the first "serious" games my sister ever got into. She actually finished it before I did...
