Erkki Posted November 19, 2007 If Chalk an Crayons aren't enough, there's also static to play with: http://silverspaceship.com/static/ It doesn't really have any interesting gameplay, but I urge you to play it (i completed it in 10-15 minutes I think), just for the feeling when you get when the game is over and everything on your screen suddenly seems absurdly clean. At least that's what happened to me.
Noyb Posted November 19, 2007 My eyes! You're right about the generic gameplay not being adequately disguised by a trippy graphical ethos.
elmuerte Posted November 19, 2007 What's next? playing in complete blackness? no wait, Doom 3 was released quite some time ago geez... that level with the shooting thing was annoying. nah... static sucked.
toblix Posted November 19, 2007 Jesus Christ, there's a fog filter on my eyes!
miffy495 Posted November 20, 2007 K, played through it. Whole world looks weird now. Cool concept, I'd like to see someone make a real game with it. That "running between the legs of a giant walking dude" screen was especially neat, but really the only part of the game that impressed.
n0wak Posted November 20, 2007 What's next? playing in complete blackness? Yes. They have their uses http://www.audiogames.net/ (eg. for the blind)
ThunderPeel2001 Posted November 21, 2007 Wow... everything looks so CLEAN! Anyways, what a crap game. Gameplay so dated even Miner Willy would be ashamed. The cleverest idea was the screenshots on the front page. As soon as it boots up it's clear how un-amazing the concept is. Still, the big walking character was quite nifty... or maybe it's because I'd endured 10 minutes of headache inducing banality first?
Thrik Posted November 21, 2007 Holy crap! It's made everything look all smooth like it's been through some kind of clean-up Photoshop filter. I agree, it's an absolutely shit game but the concept is intriguing and I like the visual effect it's given my eyes.
Wrestlevania Posted November 22, 2007 Yes. They have their uses http://www.audiogames.net/ (eg. for the blind) I played In The Pit quite some time ago now -- simple but fun. You definitely need a decent PC joypad with rumble though for the full experience.
